  1. This has to be one of the more bizarre complaints I’ve seen. Too many updates - I say more updates! Let’s get sync sorted and some new features on the go personally.
  2. I hope that it improves, I am rooting for it to do so. As it stands my year is due for renewal in September, if things remain as they are I’ll be cancelling it - not saying forever granted! I really like many of the features of Evernote but having experienced how well and quick sync can work with other apps the manual sync I’m having to use just becomes really tiresome and very unproductive. I’ll keep an eye out for any announcements that might come and hopefully there is big improvements in performance in the coming months.
  3. Maybe you are right, if I want reliable sync go to another app. I have had EN doing this since EN 10 came out, I figured it would improve - it hasn’t. Anything I enter on the mobile app takes an age to sync, the capacity to pop in and write something - ie a to-do and then leave isnt there. I have tried this over and over too, tasks for instance, yes its there and its implementation is great, but if they don’t sync, which they wont if I dont manually sync it, well its not a task then. And its not just me, its all over these forums - missing info, blocks disappearing, lists disappearing, and if you go to the mobile app reviews they are filled with it too. It needs addressed and fixed, not dismissed and the pretence there is no issue continuing. Contrast that with Craft for instance, I can pop into that, write a to-do, immediately close it, and the sync still works. I can do that with text and paragraphs, it always syncs, EN has a bizarre lag which prevents this. Heck there is a tick button on EN why on earth, when I press that doesn’t it immediately sync knowing i have finished the note? Nope, tick does nothing! If i exit at that point the data isnt synced, I need to go to notes, drag down and get it to manually sync. These are not old devices I am working from either, an iPhone 13 and an iPad pro. I just want the app to work.
  4. Evernote market this as an app that GTD can be used for - an aspect of that is being able to quickly write anything down, thats not possible in the mobile app, to pop in write or paste something then simple leave - I guarantee that not all of that will sync, if any of it. This needs to be fixed, I love EN but having to hand hold it through a sync every.single.time. I use it is simply getting too much.
  5. Hi all, we have been in 10 for a good while now but I see the forums are still littered with sync issues with missing content for folks. The app reviews express this too. I express this! The iOS app remains very unpredictable. It’s simply impossible to pop in and quickly write something then leave the app - not a chance in a month of Sundays that would sync. Instead I have to write, then go to notes, pull down and force a sync. I was ok with this initially figuring they would fix this but it’s actually worse now than it has been for a long time. These experiences are not unique, we see this all over the place - sync, a basic and fundamental feature is not up to scratch. So will this ever be fixed or is this as good as it gets? I’ve been testing out craft recently - I can’t do anything there that prevents a sync no matter how quickly I close it. Sync needs to get far better.
  6. Thanks, will do, just realised I could create something like this with the filtered notes feature in home. The one draw back is that todo boxes don’t show up on the Home Screen so that makes it kinda redundant for now.
  7. Please add this - using the @ symbol for creating back links is such a handy feature. Especially for daily notes or anything of that nature it’s so easy if notes can be quickly and simply joined with content.
  8. Hi, a feature that would be great, perhaps in home is daily notes. I know I can get a template etc, but, having a scrollable block of daily notes, much like I can see notes in the Home Screen would be great. I have seen a few apps that do this and it’s really helpful, easy space to jot daily ideas and tasks.
  9. Erm speak for yourself, frankly i hated the previous tablet mode - essentially it was a giant phone, what use is that. I genuinely find this an unfathomable thing to complain about, i cannot see any downside to more information in easier to locate positions.
  10. I couldn’t disagree stronger! Who on earth wants an iPad to function like a giant iPhone? If you want iPhone - use the phone, I think it’s entirely reasonable that the larger screen estate is used to present more information. Im genuinely flabbergasted by this!.
  11. This is fantastic and one of the features I really was keen for - home really wasn’t a great experience on the iPad, looking like a giant iPhone essentially, this will make a brilliant difference.
  12. I’m afraid this isn’t surprising. There’s been so many shady things about Nimbus, I would go back to paper before I considered them an option. I hope you can get your data into a format that helps you. Thankfully I got a good discount with EN recently for the year so I’ll see how the next year unfolds.
  13. I would do more research before jumping to Nimbus, shady privacy polices, shady company conduct, questions over where data goes….run a search here.
  14. I have to confess home looks brutally bad on the iPad, it’s a terrible use of the space. I do hope this is something they adjust which could surely be something they adjust depending on screen sizes? I can relate to the frustration, on the phone - great, laptop great, web great, iPad it just looks like an after thought.
  15. I think it’s a fantastic feature, you will find just because you do t use it doesn’t mean it’s useless.
  16. That they do lol 😂. There blinking everywhere now, cut your grass too well and an Aldi is there in the morning.
  17. I use some large notes, I merge screeds of notes into one as an archive (im a little obsessive about that 100k limit even though im NO where near it lol). One of my notes (a part a of the book!) a book note is 14k words long and growing and still there is no lag when opening it and writing in it, only time i noticed is when I right click to correct spelling that it can sometimes take a bit to open. I have a small amount of notes but a few are big, another, a merge is 30k words and works fine too. This is what puzzles me as people with way better machines are having much worse experiences and there must be some reason why. ps - you may be thinking I thought he left and cancelled sub - I did then the 40% discount came along, us Brits are morally opposed to rejecting discounts.
  18. I find this odd, I’m on a desktop which is old and can’t run neither windows 11 nor html 5 browser games etc and my EN runs fine, no notable lag. I wonder if it’s note numbers or something? I don’t have many notes and I would like to think EN 10 has taken massive steps to prevent lag when there is volume but somethings causing these issues.
  19. It was the original reason I started this thread, tasks were not working so his point isn’t unreasonable, tasks still aren’t. As of tonight tho I’ll not know as my subscription expires tonight. I hope Evernote improve the quality of their updates so they fix more bugs than they create.
  20. I’m sure that’s the case. When I contrast EN as I’m experiencing it just now with the stability of OneNote there is no comparison. Yes I have to use an additional task manager and lose templates and the search I really enjoy, but I need it to work better than this. Tasks isn’t new, neither is home, both have been out for long enough that stability should be a given. I’ll keep an eye out for how things develop, as I said EN10 I am rooting for, but I need it to be more consistent. Hopefully that comes and as it evolves a new use case opens for me in the future.
  21. This is the issue i was having too, the app is now opening but tasks still does as you describe. In the end I decided enough was enough, I don't need an service in which who knows which parts will work on any given day. I have backed EN10 and still think its the right call but the glitches on top of stripping it back when I feared my account was breached have taken me to the point that I just don't have a use for the app now. Today I cancelled my subscription.
  22. Thanks, I couldnt see anything similar on the forum either. I will leave it for now and hope whatever is going on resolves itself - have a whack load I need to get on with so will use onenote for now and hope whatever is going on fixes itself.
  23. I downloaded 10.20 this morning and opened it, i noticed tasks was not working so restarted the app, now all I get is a white screen. Not sure whats gone wrong but wanted to flag this up incase others are having the same issue. I will use OneNote today as I dont have the time to toy around with the app to get it to work, tomorrow is another day, maybe.
  24. Hi all, I got an official response today after sending an email saying 24hours and I cancel (not being dramatic - I had a timescale and after a week of silence i figured I give it one last go). I got the following back - These IPs are from a service used by Evernote to securely log in to your account. The access history listings were erroneously triggered by the login activity from your devices and should have been listed under your IP instead. Apologies for the highlighted text, not for drama just can’t figured out why it’s there or how to remove it! This is reassuring as it confirms there has been no external access to my account and that it remains secure. I hope that reassures the others concerned by similar events.
