  1. Can I just add, as harsh as the price increases may be reading the terrible puns in these most recent posts wounds more. Be compassionate people lol, bending forks? Eversuck? My head.
  2. My windows app also having the same issue when exporting to pdf, doc too far right cutting of much of the text.
  3. It has started working for me today again in the notes where sync was frozen. The behaviour was odd, i noticed it said saved so i went to web app, saw the content, added content on the web app, after a good delay it synced to windows app, then added content to windows app after a good delay it then appeared on web app, then all of a sudden RTE seemed to kick in and the note started syncing as intended. It was almost as if the system was clogged.
  4. Thanks. That sadly hasn’t worked for me, nor did closing and reopening the app. Seems jammed on that note.
  5. Tried switching notes, opening and closing the app etc, giving it time, note wont save. Had to copy the content out into another app and do my work there. Checked the web app - none of the content is there, so as best as I can tell the data is lost to EN. Will work away in another app and try it again next week.
  6. Updated the windows app to 10.56.9-win-ddl-public (4080) Editor: v168.1.20898 Service: v1.68.4 © 2019 - 2023 Evernote Corporation. All rights reserved I am now finding notes are not saving, the bottom sync indicator has saving... but nothing happens. Checked the web app - no data has been uploaded. Never had this before, its not a connection thing as I am doing other things online (such as posting here).
  7. If ai is analysing my finances to fix the price offer - I’m in for a discount lol 😂. Random deals are not unusual - after all who at the moment as actually paying the same price for EN? Factor in discounts, offers, different retired tiers etc. has only up to now paid full price? (I think that may change going forward lol).
  8. EN now has real time editing on the 10 apps, so this is unexpected behaviour. There is a thread asking for feedback on this, might be worth posting this there. For me if I’m editing a note on my phone I can see the text appearing, letter for letter on the windows app. There are some quirks needing sorted so you may have found one re new note creation.
  9. Yeah, that’s the odd thing - iPhone is fine, it’s only iPad, which is a 2020 pro so should be ok still. It’s definitely on the latest EN version.
  10. I’m seeing a bit of this on the iPad, not the iPhone oddly enough. On my iPad, even though all notes are downloaded there is a delay in opening notes. The most annoying part is that if I leave a note to go to another app to copy something and then return to Evernote, it refreshes the note and moves me back to the top of the note, so I need to refind where I was going to paste the text. I did this once before and was fixed so hopefully that happens again quickly too.
  11. I downloaded Splice (iOS), sub is £89 per year or for both it and Renmie (probably spelt wrong!) it’s £119. So the yearly costs are quite close to where EN already is cost wise.
  12. Hold on lol, that’s got me. The comments here of concern due to hypothetical price increases - and the apps in question actually cost less per year to subscribe than Evernote does? That should surely be a reassurance!
  13. You can’t possibly know what BS plan to do with pricing unless you have insider information? A stray email you got? To compare the pricing of video editors with a notes app is not a parallel, video editors, for the good ones (I don’t know if theirs are as iMovie does enough for me!) do cost a lot. All we know is the info we have today,, using conjecture to condemn the company isn’t helpful or in my view fair.
  14. The iPhone app rules OneNote out for me, that it can have text that is obscured and out of format for the phone screen, pastes in text in different format to the text in the note - with no way to correct it, that frustrates me too much, I couldn’t work in a note where the text is in different fonts and colours, that’s just unfathomable to ke.
  15. As far as I can tell, the only sync options open to iOS users are iCloud or Obsidian Sync. So to sync beyond that it’s $8 per month, getting very close to paying for Evernote but without the web app etc that I can use here.
  16. Yeah, same here. Sync seems to be working great now, including with tasks, which i can finally use now! Was apprehensive to before as they would never sync reliably.
  17. Hi, I am not sure if you are fully on the new system yet...Federico will be able to answer properly.... My experience of the new sync is that iOS is instant too, I can type on my phone and see it appear both on windows app and iPad too, its all instant now, so I think there is more to come for you.
  18. I have toyed with obsidian too, it has a lot of handy features. The big put off for me is multi platform syncing, it’s essentially the same cost then as Evernote as the only real option is obsidian sync. iCloud will get you Apple and windows (apparently with potential sync issues on windows), I know their is an Android option too but I’m less familiar with that. On top of the difficult learning curve too I am sticking with Evernote. I love obsidians daily notes feature and have replicated that with a weekly note in EN, using Backlinks where needed.
  19. For me I can properly use Evernote now without feeling I need to either handhold it through sync or battle to make it sync (my issues have been more than others, I wonder if it’s because I’m in the uk…no idea). So now I can quickly write notes without worrying about data, if I have an idea for my sermon - go in write it down without worry etc. Another core thing is I can really start using tasks which i was so hesitant to before. The ability to create tasks in notes is so handy for how my mind works, but up to now it’s been a real hassle to get them syncing. That’s two of the biggies for me. I don’t really share notes or that
  20. I have an iphone 13, instant on that, tried my ipad too, the same, instant appearance of text on my windows app that was entered on both phone and ipad. Before there was no chance of this happening. Same with tasks, they never synced properly, ever.
  21. Finally got the new sync this morning - been testing it, it works fantastically well! Immediate sync now from phone, tested typing on my phone and could see it appearing as I write now on the desktop app. Tested tasks which would never sync fully for me - also immediate. This is a massive step forward! We (I!) are quick to say where things are not great, good to recognise where there is good progress too.
  22. You must realise you are being a bit unreasonable and unfair here? Four months and you expect all bugs effectively eradicated? I’ve been harsh on BS due to their lack of communication until recently, I stand by that, but this isn’t fair. Give them some time. Do you even know if you are on the new sync method to see if that makes a difference?
  23. The one feature that really intrigues me is being able to ask the ai questions based on our notes - as a knowledge base tool that could be really helpful.
  24. Haha chat gpt, I’ve heard so much about it but never really used it. I am intrigued, my big issues was their lack of communication,I really hope this changes now.
  25. It’s that good? I still have the old sync, slow, needs hand holding through the whole process etc, looking forward to trying out the new sync whenever I get it.
