How often do you use the mobile apps? Just curious as my current aim is to make EN pretty much the core app I use for all productivity (it saves constantly not knowing where a doc or note is cause they are spread over different apps). I find EN does fine for the writing I do and to speak from, however those docs are ones I’ll be writing for 20-30 mins at a time. Do you ever use it for that long or is it my usage that is exposing this issue?

Congrats! Now, if you could deploy those powers to get me a few hours extra sleep each day that would be much appreciated. Cant wait for the leap year level productivity 😂

My prices are similar - because the previous years I used the discount deals EN occasionally offers. Your prices track mines, so you must have used those deals too. It’s a little unfair to compare full price with previous discount prices. Before if you cancelled you would soon get an offer of another year on discount, not sure if that still happens but that would likely take 30% of the bill again if it works.

I updated to the latest version (hopefully the power issue is better) thinking all it was was the new shortcuts only to open it and see the new minimised side bar etc, the app looks really good and that was a nice surprise. More screen for notes and home and all that is always a bonus. One thing that would be epic - a quick switch short cut for iPad able to jump between recent notes, that would really help productivity.

Hi all, did a wee test earlier, wrote a doc in Evernote and then waited for battery to update. Here’s the stats - As you can see EN is using not far off YouTube despite being active a quarter of the time.

Sigh. Are people really that stupid that they are complaining an auto stat is spying? That’s less sensible than buying into flat earth. I’m too tired for this today. It’s a stat - if it gets you that stressed you are BLESSED cause for most of us it’s either a curiosity or a swipe delete because we have actual things we need to focus on and resolve.

Not really…I just enter info, no scanning, not even searching. I have a weekly note with todos I add and tick off, a few email drafts I would write, research for a project and some writing, that’s it really. After 10 mins though device is notably hot.

Support said there was no issue with my log. It’s something to do with the latest update but I don’t know what.

My response from support was sign out then sign back in and show them battery screen - which is useless for short term stuff like this. My hope was to use EN for productivity as a central point, that would mean fairly long uses, the app isn’t up to that. I have been testing Craft notes and will move along to that.

I’ve not contacted support as I’m not seeing any reason why it could be overheating, there’s no lag or failures or anything - it just heats up really quick, I only have 200 notes I work from so it can’t be volume or anything like that either. I’ll wait to see if the next update resolves it. Hopefully it will be a bit more settled again.

Hi I’m noticing, especially after the recent update that my devices are getting hot quickly when using Evernote. I have an iPad Pro 2020 and an iPhone 13 and on both if I’m using Evernote for any duration, say 5 mins or more, the device is getting noticeably hot, which likely means the battery is taking a thumping too. Anyone else noticing anything similar?

It’s literally two words! Two words which are a custom in our culture. And you come here writing and ranting over two words. Let me be blunt - you should thank your lucky stars your life is so easy two words at the top of a screen can cause you this much trouble because many of us don’t have the cheery lives you seem to think - we have actual troubles.

Is this a joke? It’s gotta be surely? Of all the things to complain about I never imagined being offered a good morning would be one of them. Man, I’m lost for words!

Better developed tools that sit within my Evernote meeting note? I don’t think there is. Having it integrated works really well for me personally.

This! Evernote tasks is a game changer for folks who are using Evernote to get things done. To be in a meeting and add a task knowing it then shows in the central tasks tab is brilliant. It means, for folks like me who forget everything that happened at a meeting within about an hour of it ending, I’ll actually do the things I’m meant to cause they are there listed and I would forget to check the note otherwise.

Come on, you gotta see how first world problem this is that your complaining an app is too well maintained. Just let it update and then use it.

I just went on the play store and downloaded Evernote from there. When I opened it, it was an older version, so I just use the webapp on the chrome book.

Hi does anyone know how to get rid of this? I’m getting the blue spinning circle more and more instead of the edit button - a real issue when it does it midway through taking notes for a persons funeral! Anyone know how to avoid these? Notes are not big but frequently edited, before I could get it to go by dragging down in notes to sync but that’s not doing anything these days (not even syncing notes!). Any help much appreciated. On latest version of app and iPhone 13.

I’m not sure what that tells you? Try logging in on the website and see if you can complete your purchase there?

/ commands would be epic, the ability to do many things by using only the keyboard whilst typing would be a great leap forwards in note taking. I know there are short cuts for some but they don’t work with touch keyboards / commands do, shortcuts also have to be memorised / commands don’t.

Like others I would urge you to contact support - something really isn’t working right there. I have never had a duplicate or sync fail on windows - not once, my issue has always been iOS. Even with iOS now, forced sync always works, the only odd occasion I have an issue is tasks sometimes don’t sync first time and need a few prompts.

I have a fairly new chrome book and it installed the old version on that too. I assume it must be registering as Android 9? Thankfully not too big a deal for me, a bit naff that home and tasks etc aren’t there but I think I’m more inclined to use the web app as chrome books are shockingly slow in my view, web app will run quicker than trying to start the download.

3000? Something else is up. I have 15000 word docs that edit fine, with no lag on both my mobile devices and the pc. Not sure what the issue is but 3000 is nothing really.

Personally I think the indent after 1 should be a, 1 following 1 really doesn’t make any sense in my view. The whole point of lists is surely to keep track of things and if someone just wants dots, use those, using numbers indicates the need for a more structured ordering. I would like it to be 1 A B 2 etc.

That’s really good to hear! The issues for me are lesser now for whatever reason but knowing this is being worked on will reassure any of us who are seeing these things rise up every now and then. I know massive changes have been made, which I I guess is needed to keep moving forwards, I don’t know what any of them mean granted!
