  1. Check your clipper extension version - after about six months of no updates they finally released a new clipper for Chrome version today (7.35) which added back the Gmail option for web clipping that had been missing for over six months. Maybe it'll fix your issue, too.
  2. It's a modern style of software development. Most new software follows this style. A few examples that I use or have used: Chrome/Firefox, 1Password, Microsoft To Do, Visual Studio Code, and more. They tend to be smaller and more focused software programs. Huge legacy programs like Microsoft Office and the Adobe suite are more conservative and slower with their updates.
  3. This has sadly been a disappointing pattern during BS ownership of Evernote. Announcing a fix to an annoying bug only for us to discover it's not fully fixed.
  4. As requested, some comments: 1. I have spelling check as I write. I get red squiggly lines under misspelled words. It's an option in settings. Do you not have it or are you referring to something else? 2. Yes, this was a big complaint during the initial v10 launch. Perhaps it would help to understand the justification - Evernote chose to prioritize cross-platform compatibility during the development of v10. You may or may not be aware that many popular fonts are proprietary, and so are not available on all platforms that Evernote supports or may wish to support in the future. The current, limited, set of fonts will render correctly on desktop and mobile regardless of the underlying operating system. 3. No real comment here, except to mention that people who need advanced word processing capabilities sometimes choose to write in Microsoft Word (or whatever) and then attach the document inside Evernote if they want the document to live in EN. 4. I'm speculating somewhat, but I imagine it's similar reason to #2 - color representations differ by platform. Also, perhaps simply a desire to simplify a little bit. Not sure if that helps too much, but those are the comments I have!
  5. @gazumped as of just now the Early Access page link is completely broken.
  6. Per Federico on Twitter as of yesterday 50% of Evernoters have received access to Outlook integration. It'll probably ramp up to 100% next week.
  7. You're welcome. Thanks for providing the additional detail, though I find your version history to be a bit odd. It looks like you received progressively newer versions from 1/23 to 2/27, but then on 2/29 you went backwards to an older version. Any idea why? Did you do anything different on that day? FWIW, I was on 10.77.x until this morning, when I was auto-updated to: 10.78.2-mac-ddl-public (20240227143346) Editor: v177.5.0 Service: v1.94.2 © 2019 - 2024 Evernote Corporation. 8. Have you restarted Evernote recently? Restarted your computer recently? You should be more up-to-date than that. I've never seen someone fall more than about two versions behind without something having gone wrong in the auto-update process. @jbenson2 is about 7 updates behind, so if they don't get updated soon (particularly after restarting the app and perhaps even their computer) I recommend they go to https://evernote.com/download and download the latest version there.
  9. Thank you. That page links to another page with a FAQ, but there's no place to actually sign up. Perhaps sign-ups are paused?
  10. How does one get access to this mythical beta testing team? I was once a member of the Evernote for Android beta testing group, which was long ago disbanded. Asking for a friend...
  11. I have experienced this web clipping issue several times recently. It's frustrating. The Web clipper has not been updated in months, they removed a specific feature for clipping Gmail emails 6 months ago and haven't commented / won't tell me whether it's going to come back. I get the sense that most development resources are currently focused on the desktop app and back-end infrastructure. I hope they return to maintaining the Web clipper soon.
  12. When I tried this yesterday it was inconsistent for me and there's no visual feedback to confirm that you've clicked the right things. I'm guessing there's still no visual feedback, but are you saying it's working consistently for you now? At least that's a step in the right direction, if so.
  13. Agreed. 403 has a specific meaning in web server parlance, but anytime something goes wrong in the logic of web app 403 is a common resulting error. As a result it's really a bit of a generic error and it's not a good idea to draw any major conclusions from it.
  14. At least in theory. I've seen the inside of support departments, and the line between "feedback to developers" and the developers actually receiving that feedback in usable form is not nearly as reliable and straightforward as we would all like it to be. 😕
  15. Where's the new API documented versus the old API? Last time I looked into it, which was probably a couple of months ago, all I could find was a single (old) API.
  16. Again, I'm talking about the full Evernote client, for macOS, not Evernote for mobile... I'm not interested in downloading my entire database to mobile. I want to use it reliably on my laptop, like I could with Evernote legacy, while disconnected.
  17. Couple of weeks ago I couldn't open older notes in v10 for desktop when I was flying without internet access. v10 has never given me a warm and fuzzy feeling about offline capabilities. People who depend on offline functionality are right to be cautious, IMHO.
  18. Great! Hopefully this fixes the double-click to search problem. I wonder if the "search term not highlighted" issue when using the keyboard shortcut to go to the search box is also fixed? 🤔
  19. Does this interface change fix the annoying issue with the search box moving and a double-click onto a search term no longer working? See thread below for details and screenshots/videos:
  20. I'm talking about the desktop (macOS) app, as we're discussing this in the context of the legacy desktop app being sunsetted... Whether it's a bug or whatever it absolutely did not work for me the one time in recent memory that I needed it.
  21. Have you tested this successfully? I was on a flight the other day with no WiFi and I tried accessing some notes older than about a year and they would not load. I don't need offline access often but it's disappointing to be in that situation where a feature should "just work" and then it doesn't. Back in the before v-10 days I traveled and was away from internet access much more and the legacy app was rock solid in that regard (except for note conflicts, those were a pain, but simply reading notes offline was always rock solid).
  22. Can you elaborate on this? Because in recent memory it hasn't worked for me, especially when I have attachments set to display as "Title" or "Single Page" (which is most of the time for me).
  23. Good workaround Mike. In testing this I noticed that the arrow keys don't jump through the find results on macOS - they simply scroll through the find text box so I have to use the mouse. Also, am I the only one driven crazy by Evernote not following the standard convention to highlight the previous search term when using the keyboard shortcut to jump back to the find (or search) box? As far as I can remember, every app I've ever used follows a standard convention of highlighting the search term so that it can be more easily deleted and replaced with a new search term. Since the first release of V10 Evernote no longer does this (it did it on Legacy) and it drives me bonkers.
  24. What version of Evernote are you running? I've been hit with this bug (or similar bug) multiple times, albeit not in several months so I had hoped it was fixed. It's possible that EN support may be able to recover the lost file
