  1. Past hour
  2. It's not about thin lines. Lines/borders are totally missing.
  3. I'm a long-time Adobe Acrobat user and the newer versions are buggy, too. When you view the PDF that Evernote created and zoom into it, are the table borders and lines still missing? I've learned that some of the line weights don't show up well in a PDF when viewed on a monitor until you zoom in, but they print all right.
  4. Today
  5. You can export pdf, but the result is buggy and not to be trusted. Eg table borders missing, problems with text layout (lines and spaces removed), some task elements are missing, etc...
  6. Not caring about existing bugs, and just focusing on creating new (and buggy) fancy features, tells a lot about the company.
  7. I hope so as well. It would be nice to hear an update on the RENT project.
  8. Sorry. A solution is to block me. 😁 Then you don't read this anymore. I trust Evernote just enough... But it's shaky. I hope for better times.... As a professional tool with a professional price. 👍💵
  9. I still occasionally have this issue. I think the new metadata sync project will hopefully be the answer since a task being completed or not is really just a 1 or 0 stored in the tasks metadata and that doesn't seem to sync properly.
  10. They do. Advise the OP to check their details against this database and maybe change other sites passwords.
  11. Meanwhile, you should be able to access all of your grad school notes by using the web client. Login at www.evernote.com. Vinnie
  12. It's amazing Just now, 7 tasks disappeared, and now 3 appear Maybe if I wake up after some sleep, all my tasks will come back to me Maybe the server added new features and caused the error 😂
  13. I don't entirely understand your use case so this might not be helpful... but in case it is... Have you tried going about it the other way? Instead of starting in the calendar, start in the note. Let's assume you have made a calendar entry in the past, say for a call or Zoom and now you' are about to start the session. Go to the note in your Meetings and Calls notebook where you want to take notes. Use the + menu item or the slash command to add the "calendar event" for the meeting you are taking to the note. Then, when you click on the note icon that appears in the calendar event for the meeting, you will be taken to that note. It sounds more convoluted than it really is. I have a template I use for meeting notes. At the bottom of the template, I have this to remind me to take the extra step: (It's not that big in real life!) Hope this is helpful. Vinnie
  14. It's not happening with my Recurring Tasks. They are all syncing properly between devices with the same Date/Time. I will keep monitoring this.
  15. "Considered secure" (I wonder by whom) or not, it's possible, perhaps likely, that your old password was compromised. I can't remember where I read this - or it might have been an interview with Federico - but my understanding is that Evernote checks user passwords against the Have I Been Pwned database or a similar service. My understanding is that, if the login credentials you are using have been reported by that service to have been compromised in a data breach somewhere, Evernote will require a password change. In any event, I myself am quite happy that Evernote goes to such "paternalistic" lengths to keep bad actors out of the Evernote servers. Vinnie
  16. I saw the problem on both types of notes, but it was a lot more apparent and common when I used 'repeat after completion'. It could be observer's bias (or whatever it's called) because an incorrect recurrence date was a lot more obvious to notice and a lot harder for me to fix. Whereas a mis-synced fixed schedule task, I'd just re-toggle it again and it'd be alright. And I've not used EN tasks since then - because I kept seeing similar issues in the forums 😅. Maybe when the issues die down, I'll reconsider.
  17. I had this quite frequently in the past when RTE was first implemented but not in recent memory. I thought it had been solved but will watch for it again.
  18. Nice trick. The other thing I sometimes find helpful is deleting the due date and then putting it in again.
  19. Still haven't used it so much other than testing - so there can be some unknown issues - but i'm quite impressed and have generally only good things to say about UpNote. However, missing a couple of [for me] important functions. Mostly just one: tasks 😢 In some other ways it works better compared to Evernote: - extremely fast - high programming quality - print and pdf export working - nice and pleasant UI - adjustable line spacing etc 😍👍
  20. Correct. I was just informing that it wasn’t removed. A setting to select which is preferred would be helpful.
  21. But that doesn’t make it the default opening screen. Still have to click away to get it
  22. Found ! New interface us not usefull. I prefer the one before ... thanks.
  23. No apology needed. The post you responded to was overly snarky, inappropriate, and didn’t contribute.
  24. I am sorry PinkElephant. I was asked for my impressions on UpNote. I have been with Evernote since 2011 and originally loved it. Evernote then imposed various changes - one of them being the line spacing which my earlier posting fully detailed. As a result of not being able to communicate with Evernote's design team to solve my issue, I did a comparative test with other software. This is not clever or trying to impress - it's what we do when something doesn't work and we cannot communicate with the designers for a fix: we test alternatives. Kallagh then legitimately asked me about my testing outcomes and I provided that response. ie, a complete link back to the line spacing issue. I included in my "impressions" that my gains were personal. I also advised that others can do the same as myself and perform a parallel test. I also noted that others may wish to stay with Evernote. I therefore am not being clever. I do not try to impress. I was asked a specific question following from my earlier posting and I gave a response detailing my actions. For the record, I do not post on social media at all. This forum is the only one that I have used, and that is due to this forum being the only way to possibly communicate with Evernote itself. Furthermore, I also typed this response and left it for the afternoon before re-reading, updating and then posting - to remove the impulse-reaction to which most of us can suffer. I am therefore disappointed in the posting from yourself PinkElephant (sent within seconds of my post) following my qualified response to a question. Even if you did not find my response of value, I hope and expect that others may. I left Evernote as the app developed in a different way to which suited my requirements. I am leaving this thread as there is no value in reading postings like that provided by PinkElephant when I spent time to provide a detailed and measured response to a question. However, thank you PinkElephant: your response reinforced to me why it is unhealthy to read postings on social media. Your example has been invaluable. For that I thank you. An apology to all others: this posting does not contribute to the thread. It was however necessary to respond to the above posting which personally attacked me.
  25. It was moved. In case you missed it, you can get back to the screen by tapping settings, upper left, and then my widgets.
