Rolling out Desktop 10.64

I updated yesterday and had a scary white Evernote window with no content for a minute or two - was about to do the full uninstall/ reinstall but tried signing out and back in first,  which got me my content back.  Might just be my system - AFAIK no issues since.  Win 11.

I have the following problems:

- Unable to paste screenshots to a note.

- Unable to insert a picture to a note. (After a few minutes I was able to insert a picture (*.jpg), but not others (*.jpg, *.png).

- Unable to insert attachment (PDF).

Error message: "Something went wrong when adding attachment. Try again." (Something like that.)

I can do all the things you describe without problem.  Very occasionally a version upgrade has been known to corrupt things.  My response is to uninstall with Revo Uninstaller and then reinstall from a fresh download.

This was sort of my experience as well. When the program updated two days ago, re-initializing after update stalled, i.e. the program did not open automatically after update.

Since then I've successfully opened Evernote, but it is incredibly slow loading and sometimes it hangs on open and is stuck in that white screen with the timer going round and round. If I then close and reopen the program, it loads.

I clipped a web page earlier today and it's very sluggish to open this note. Opens first with a white screen and "Saving..." in the lower-right. Then after a few seconds the content loads. Other notes load much faster so perhaps there's something about this clipped website that's causing it to load slowly?

Hello,

I know this is not the latest 10.65.2 thread, but does anyone else have similar symptoms?

I have some notes that are out of sync in 10.65.2 for Windows.
Specifically, notes that were not synced in 10.64.5 are not synced; notes that were synced in 10.64.5 are synced.

Notes that do not appear in the note list are found in the search.

And after clicking on it, it now appears in the list of notes (which must be done for each note).

Hi.  I don't have any syncing issues that I'm aware of.  The usual fixes are to restart the app,  restart the device,  or rebuild your database from the server - but that won't save any notes that have not been synced...  Maybe contact Support (which will take a while,  they're very busy right now...)

As I wrote in the post above, there was a workaround, so I'll wait and see how it goes.

Support must be very busy. Cases that cannot be reproduced elsewhere may be particularly difficult to deal with.

After a reboot I try to open Windows app and get the neverending circle around the logo.  The app won't go further.

I can log-in to the web version just fine.

I saw the previous post that mentioned "rebuilding" a database but can't find guidance for that in these forums by searching "rebuild database".  Any help?

The easiest is to go the File menu and choose Sign Out.  Then choose to 'Remove my data from this device'.  Sign back in and your data will be restored from the cloud in a rebuilt data set.

Hi

Got some issues starting from yesterday where the Evernote Mac client got some sync issues with my Android mobile phone client 

Symptoms

- I had attended a full day training yesterday and put my notes and screenshots onto the Mac client 

- At the end of the day I found I lost the whole afternoon notes and screenshots. 

- this morning I also used Evernote Mac to make notes and take screenshots while I am having the training day 2. 

- Having had some testing this morning, I found that my mobile client is not getting the latest notes and screenshots when I put them on Mac client 

- Even I tried to print the note by my Mac client, I can only see half of the notes on the print preview (can see all content on the note itself on Mac) 

- (important) on the Mac client I can see the cursor of mobile client. On mobile client I can see that of my Mac client.  When I type on my mobile, I can see that appears on my Mac client, but not the vice versa.

Wondering if anyone else experienced the same issue please?  I have lost my notes for the whole afternoon yesterday of a paid course. For today I am starting to use Google Doc to make notes as a workaround.. I suspect that the new Mac client has some issue.

What version are you using?

I am also having a problem on 10.65.2 where notes created on other devices do not appear in the note list.

In my case, they appear when I search for them, so it seems that they are synchronized.

Thanks - I clicked "check for updates" on my mac client didn't trigger an upgrade.  I can get my mac client updated now by going to the Apple app store.  

Now my Mac client is on 10.64.5 and it looks the sync issue between my mac and mobile has gone.

I believe if you installed from the Mac App store updates are handled in the Mac Appstore. If you install from evernote.com/download updates are handled within Evernote. @PinkElephant can probably confirm this.
