Keyboard hot key to insert quickly a timestamp at cursor position

Idea

Guest Pablo A

I would find very useful to be able to insert a timestamp (at cursor location). I propose a hotkey to be able to do it quickly. This is very important when the content depends on the date/time where it was written

It already exists in the Windows application: it's Ctrl+; (Ctrl key + semicolon)

The CTRL + Semi-colon key is fairly common. Same thing happens in Excel for example.

Hello.

ctrl+; shortcut inserts Date + Time. Needed shortcut to insert only date.

This shortcut so fast and so easy that a few backspaces (to remove the time) is still a shortcut.

You can roll your own shortcuts with something like PhraseExpress or Auto Hot Key.  Shift+Alt+D will add 2019.06.07  wherever for me.  FWIW.
