Option to change default font / font size on Web client

The default Gotham + 14 doesn't look very sharp on my laptop. I have a Dell XPS 13 running Windows 10 and am using Chrome as my default browser. Resolution is 1920x1080. I was hoping that the default would be updated if I changed fonts in a note, but that wasn't the case and I was told by support that there isn't a setting to change that. I really don't mind Gotham per se (though I'd prefer a serif font like at a larger size for readability), but the legibility really is poor with the current settings. Either a setting or a better default would work for me. Thanks!

Agree. There should be an option to set the default size of text in the web client! This thread is almost 3 years, has many people upvoting it and there is still no way to do this?

The problem is, I usually use size 20. But then it often suddenly switches to the default 16. I then have to manually switch it to 20 every single time instead of it just defaulting to 20.

And the font color, too, it is greyish rather than black, which would be easier to read. Even when a create a new note with my preferred settings, new sections will revert to Evernote's default.

I agree. The current default font, color, and size seem poor choices for my brand new 1920x1200 monitor. I keep changing the font to Verdana (as here), which was designed for digital displays. It's even better when the color is set to black. It's unpleasant to have to change these in each note. It should be possible to set font, color, and size defaults.

I am on a similar laptop to the XPS. Same resolution. I concur that the font is less than ideal. Try zooming in or out in your browser (control+plus and control+minus). On my system zooming to 110% makes the anti aliasing of that font less offensive.

I second this request, since notes inserted via web interface are not consistent with notes inserted via Windows client because of the different default font.

We've been posting this pretty simple change request in this stream for a year now with no acknowledgment or response from Evernote. And, no change. So, I'm guessing they are paying no attention to these user comments or requests.

I'm guessing since Evernote is paying for these forums they are interested in obtaining feedback and feature requests.
User comments and feedbacks are just one of many factors in determining development priorities.

The tiny font that is the default now should be changeable by the user.  This functionality is basic to any text editor worth using.

Your main goal here is to create a prefix font for a rich text editor like RTF. Well .. there are some decisions that need to be taken as below.

There is a downside to the toolbar to increase font size, but that should be done for every file that is edited.

There are tools to easily replace the fonts (webclient.richtext.fontlist) that are available, but not the font sizes.

Regarding setting a large font size, we found that users complained that the font size when using the font size was too small and that the font size would be low enough Make bigger decisions each time they open and use rich text.

Maximo has no functionality to do that in the application. However, the only way to make the changes is through the .css file.

It would be great if the same default fonts were offered both on the Evernote app and the Evernote browser page. It's not intuitive/helpful when we switch back and forth. There should be font compatibility at least across all Evernote platforms.

This would be an excellent idea. Mainly for the simplifed article view letting us read, higlligth and then save it in a comforatble way

it's been quite a few years and this simple feature has not been implemented?

i've grown to like the Serif font in the web client and have had to switch to it everytime I make a new note or even while the note was in progress as the editor keeps defaulting back to Sans Serif

Everything above your post occupies itself with the old client.

In the new client, the set of fonts is reduced (all of them available in all clients), and SansSerif is the standard.

Surprising that this still hasn't been implemented yet. I get that there must be reasons for this, but not being able to adjust the default font---heck, even just the default font size---for a service in this arena seems absurd for all sorts of reasons. But, hey, what do I know?

On a related note, it's pretty frustrating to see some separate highly upvoted posts on the individual feature request pages---along with dozens of low total posts.

There must not be a reason when something is not implemented - a lack of priority in combination with precious resources can be enough.

EN dos not comment on why they do one thing, and skip another. The only sure thing is that when it’s there, it was done.
