    it has nothing to do with the personal template. You can reproduce this in any note. If the picture is at the end of the text, all text typed below the picture will be "sans serif", which is definitely a bug. A possible "work-around" is to type one or more new lines at the bottom of the note, and insert your image one line above these. This way your font will remain unchanged.

    You're right, I tried it myself and it seems to work indeed! I think we misunderstood the original question: it's probably a search problem in a note, not the database search. Quotes are impossible in a note search indeed. But I still don't understand the problem because the note search always searches for an exact match of the whole search string, no quotes required...

    I was inspired by this. EN did a perfect job to make it work in the search string as well 🙂

    As I tried to explain, EN does provide a solution for searching phrases, just concatenate the words in the search string with a minus sign, Search string example: this-is-a-test This will find the string: "this is a test" but not "this xxx is a test"

    A small test reveals that you can search for an exact match by connecting the words with a minus sign, for example: this-is-a-test

    In the latest EN for windows, I can just shift+tab to the title from any place in the note, no ctrl+Home needed apparently

    Yeah, I don't like this tag behavior either: I prefer that the tag selection stays active, just like a notebook selection. This way, you can create as many new notes in that tag context as you like.

    Even better, I noticed that the offline regular search immediately returns newly created notes as well, which is not always the case with server search since indexing on the server takes minutes or even more...

    All my notes, including my 'legacy' notes, are offline in V10 for windows. While offline, I can edit, search, tag, move notebooks, delete, anything... Obviously, you should activate the offline mode as PinkElephant already explained (tools | preferences | save data when logging out (or something like that in English))

    What you could do is add an extra tag to all the notes of a specific notebook. Later after importing the huge enex, you can split it in the original notebooks using these extra tags.

    I'm also in favor for some preferences, but we should keep in mind that more preferences increases the software complexity which requires more testing and we all know that testing is already problematic at EN, so this may lead to more bugs and instability. That is probably the idea behind the lack of preferences...

    yes, but probably faster because it's a binary protocol. Since EN performance is currently a big topic, it's probably a big advantage compared to REST...

    Thanks, I didn't realize that thrift was used underneath, very nice. It seems to be a well described robust interface for EN scripting. Do you have experience with it recently? Has it been broken by V10 ?

    Can you please elaborate a little bit more about the REST?

    Yes, the image gallery works in V10, but I can only open it if I slowly click twice on an image (first click to select the image, second click to open the gallery), because if I do a normal double click, it will open my associated viewer instead. Once in the gallery, I scroll full screen through all the images in the note (they shouldn't be in a table).🙂

    And it is portable to other note apps if needed 🙂

    And is that attachment encrypted by the external editor or do you safe it unencrypted in EN ?
