  1. No, there are no multiple levels for stacks (or notebooks) For a multi-level hierarchy, you would need to look at tags.
  2. I'm not seeing how it can hurt. There's also nothing to stop you from also adding a post in the discussion, however, if your only comment is "+1", please vote instead. It was set up by Evernote, and is recommended by employees. Note; There is not a direct relationship to the implementation schedule. It just gives Evernote an idea of the priority from a user perspective.
  3. I'm not sure what you want as a response. Evernote has been clear from the beginning that they would not be developing a Linux client
  4. I also favour tags over notebooks. For me, the next level in organization would be note title For example: Assignment x - First Section Assignment x - Second Section Assignment x - Third Section
  5. Wow, you actually believe notebooks are real containers, which contain notes. Thats more of a logical view than reality. Note data is contained in a database table(s). I know that Evernote uses the notebook field to identify notes that are syncd/local/offline/shared. I know some people try to use notebooks for organization, but get frustrated by the lack of hierarchy >>If there is anything that is not real in the Evernote digital world, it would be "labels". Evernote does NOT any entity or property called "label". So if you are trying to state the "truth", then you are far from it I never said Evernote used the term "labels" The EN terms are Stacks, Notebooks and Tags >>I have no idea what your point is, or why you keep slamming users who would like to have a more capable Notebook feature in Evernote, that behaves much like Mac/PC folders (which are also containers >> May I remind you of the title of this topic: "Feature Request: Notebooks within Notebooks". The operative words here are "feature request", so why not allow users to make a request without berating them? It's not so much as "slamming" or "berating" as trying to present an alternative solution for users frustrated by the lack of hierarchy with notebooks. Like you did with the Pseudo Notebooks you posted above (possibly more diplomatic than my postings) Yes, this is a request for notebook hierarchy, and there are others, but to date Evernote has not indicated any plans to implement a hierarchy. We can wait it out, but I think an alternate solution is more realistic.
  6. ok, instead of master list of keywords, do you keep a master list of the important words that you add to the title or text I'd like to make sure that my use was consistent so that a a search would be accurate.
  7. Do you have a master list of these keywords? I like having the taglist to chose from. >>I virtually stopped making new folders unless they were going to be public. That's my reason for using notebooks, to identify notes as syncd/local/offline/shared It does bring up an interesting point. Would a sub-notebook of a Local notebook also be expected to be Local?
  8. I'm not clear on how downgrading your plan has anything to do with the selective sync issue?
  9. I guess every non-US citizen could make similar a similar request. I'm a Canadian, but can't get too excited that my Evernote data is stored in the US. I just assume anything on the internet is being read by the NSA/Chinese/Google agents. If I want something private, I encrypt it.
  10. How about an app that acts as a digital filing cabinet and syncs to multiple device platforms.
  11. How about if you import this, and use it as a template Let me know if you want other colours Yellow1x1.enex I have templates set up because on my tablet, tables/colours can be used, but can't be created
  12. If it helps, I apply a background colour to my notes by using a table. It could be just a 1/1 table, but it allows me to apply colour choices.
  13. See note above https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/97754-how-to-use-evernote-web-on-iphone to switch from the web site version from web to desktop
  14. Actually I'm not too familiar with OneNote, but thanks for the info I am an Evernote user; not sure about "refusal to allow multiple sub-folders" I guess the comparison in Evernote is Stacks/Notebooks/Notes; only three levels. I was never fond of the folder filing model. I prefer to organize my data using tags
  15. Get the agreement of other users that this is a high priority item. You've started that process by posting in this forum and users can indicate their support using the voting buttons in the top left corner. There are many bugs and features to be worked. We can provide feedback as to the priority
  16. If they're currently Window users I would think they're already prospects for MS I agree that MS has more products for monetization than EN
  17. Non-paying users are the ones who tend to be more migratory They try out a product, then switch to another product and so on Paying users tend to be long term. They pay for a subscription. However when their subscriptions expire, its conceivable they may chose to move to OneNote or other services. It happens all the time. But my point was that since One Note doesn't charge for their accounts; all user are non-paying. They don't generate revenue directly
  18. XML? Why not html - at least they'd be readable
  19. I've moved this discussion to a feedback forum so it can be better addressed as a request Please indicate your support for this request using the voting buttons in the discussions upper left corner
  20. First off; you should be aware that - We can continue to use all our devices. I added more details here This is the method I would use to access Evernote on an iphone If you insist on using the web site on a mobile device, here's my method There are two versions of many websites, mobile and desktop When you say "first page", I think by default, you are seeing the mobile version of the website On my ipad, to switch to the desktop version; I hold down the refresh icon
  21. I own a phone. I paid for it, and I pay for my phone service, and I pay for my internet service It never occurred to me that anyone was spitting in my face Evernote is one of the few companies offering free a free service level And we can continue to use all our devices. I added more details here
