  1. "-" and ">" appear merged in the Windows app, but are really two separate characters. I don't recall ever seeing any other variations on arrows. Is there a specific reason for needing this option?
  2. That's a standard numeric search - try using ISO dates like 240727 as a work-around, feedback@Evernote.com to request an alpha option.
  3. Tried that with my Android tablet - latest version available is still 10.97 for me.
  4. Hi. There's no 'recommended' use - the different priorities and flags (and assignments / reminders etc) simply allow you to sort tasks into different categories. Linking tasks to notes adds more levels of potential categorisation with tagging, notebooks etc... Just start simple and adapt as necessary...
  5. Evernote's 'app' is a web link wrapped in a bespoke browser. Chrome browsers offer the same option. There are few differences apart from he local caching of notes...
  6. Report Share issues to Support, and make sure to reply to all standard responses. I have an issue on the go at the moment, and the response said - ❗If you don’t reply to this email including the information listed above, your ticket will be considered solved and your request will be closed.
  7. The update hasn't made it to Android yet for me...
  8. Hi. The original owner of the notebook has total control of the content. They may have ended the share or deleted the notebook from their system. If you can still contact the owner, find out what action they may have taken...
  9. That only affected a handful of users? Don't know what the cause might have been, but it is as likely to be related to the massive internet failure that happened a few days ago as having been caused by Evernote.
  10. Slow connections can mean anything from internet traffic to limited storage space. To ensure that Evernote is working correctly, try a full clean re-install - If Evernote is active, sign out / don't save your data locally / use Revo Uninstaller Free (Win) or Appcleaner (Mac) to uninstall the app. Power off and back on, then re-download and reinstall from Evernote.com and leave Evernote running to rebuild the local data. New installs are typically a little slow - things get better after a day or so. If that does not address the issue, make sure your system is as up to date as possible and you have 30% free local (not network) storage space. Contact Evernote Support.
  11. Actually it's not that easy. I opened my (free) test account after a device change, and reading the prompts on screen it was very simple to disconnect the old device and continue immediately. Most of these issues occur on the non-tech side of the keyboard - and even where they do arise, the fixes are simple: wait or subscribe. If the content is required urgently, then maybe a free app is not the best place for them?
  12. If you limit your access to the web client you'll have access via a browser on any device. No need. If you decide to re-subscribe, log into your account and choose your own payment method. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/categories/200001917-Billing-Subscriptions-and-Payments
  13. Hi. As a free user you have limited options. If you subscribe - even if only for a month or two - you'll have access through any device and can change your email address via the web, which is the only option. Or you can wait for 2-3 weeks for your access to reset. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208313338-Change-your-account-login-email-address https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/29144368461715-How-to-unlink-a-device
  14. You're using a FREE app. As an "early adopter" you seem to have been doing so for a long time. I can't imagine the company will be devastated if you find another provider. Meantime your access will reset in a few weeks, or on your subscription. Your choice.
  15. I'd suggest a clean reinstall - If Evernote is active, sign out / don't save your data locally / use Revo Uninstaller Free (Win) or Appcleaner (Mac) to uninstall the app. Power off and back on, then re-download and reinstall from Evernote.com and leave Evernote running to rebuild the local data. The new install is typically a little slow - things get better after a few days. If that doesn't fix it, Support.
  16. That would be three versions: Win 11 / 10.98.2. Android I just reinstalled (it wasn't creating new notes). Database is updating ... my share logs are being processed (that never happened before!)... and 10.97 is here. But I still can't create new notes... 🤫 Web is 10.97 (just updated).
  17. Hi. No disrespect, but I do NOT open random DOCX files. If that contains images, please find out how to attach them to your post. Plus you posted about tagging issues at the beginning of this month - is this a different issue? Were the previous comments helpful?
  18. Evernote Web, Mobile and Desktop are all working very quickly for me. If you have local issues then I'd suggest you start out with a clean reinstall of the app, check your available storage and current connection speed and contact Support with details of your device(s), and OS / Evernote / Browser version numbers. <Pause for the usual derogatory remarks about Support> Yes, I know - but we're mainly other users here. Unless Evernote is hit with a volume of 'system slow' reports, and can analyse the details for common factors, I'm going to continue being happy in my little bubble and you're going to continue being very unhappy in yours. Use the system folks - it's what it is there for.
  19. There are many free apps out there to save scans. plus the Evernote app allows you to image documents directly.
  20. We seem to be up to 10.98.2 now and I had the 'updating' message for quite a long time. If you didn't get full access to your notes I'd suggest a clean reinstall. If Evernote is active, sign out / don't save your data locally / use Revo Uninstaller Free (Win) or Appcleaner (Mac) to uninstall the app. Power off and back on, then re-download and reinstall from Evernote.com and leave Evernote running to rebuild the local data. The new install is still initially a little slow - things get better after a few days.
  21. Hi. I tested out 'share' a few days ago on a different enquiry, and it's working for me from my paid account to a free test account. Maybe try that for yourself if you have a secondary email address to use to set up another account? Support is running very slow - patience required to follow that route; please reply to any emails you get from them to confirm you still need help. Meantime take a look at Postach.io This third party freemium app will convert notes from specified one or more specified notebooks into published notes (or blog pages) when the tag "published" is applied to notes. (Separate notebooks generate separate home URLs) It is (IMHO) the most effective way to share information from an Evernote account publicly. Up to 5 basic notebooks (at present) can be published without subscribing. More features are available on subscription including password-protected access. This app adds the ability to publish content directly from Evernote notes, use customizable templates, and adds support for multimedia content such as images and videos. Users can easily organize and publish online without the need for any separate software or complicated linking. See https://postach.io for more
