  1. ...and instant update: dragging a note on top of another does produce an evernote:// link, so at least there's that...
  2. A quick heads up here - I updated to 10.100.1 today and linking internally seems to have disappeared. Alt+Ctrl+L now gives an HTTP link which opens (for me) in the web and "notes shared with me" - it does not go back to the note directly, or even on the web. I haven't restarted / logged out and back or anything yet; will try shortly. But beware I think something broke. As a suggestion - any other issues with 10.100.1; please post them here and contact Support referencing his URL...
  3. When I was first introduced to the joys of business computing, things got done on mainframes - and I learned a couple of phrases very quickly: "we don't use that field" and "the vehicle type goes in here, where it says [location]"... The point being that mainframes being big, expensive, and as agile as an iceberg, users got on with what they had, rather than expecting a tailor-made solution. We're still in that situation, even though things are much more agile than they used to be - you need to work within what you have, rather than expecting a perfect solution for every device. What 'within' looks like will depend on exactly what you do. I forinstance am mainly desk-based so use a big desktop for most things. I also have a fancy Samsung (Android) tablet and an old mobile - an antique S7 that won't even run Evernote v10. The tablet is as flexible as any Android - which is to say it's pretty horrible. I can use it to find and view notes, so it's my main "reader" both for Evernote and other documents and web pages, I can share content back to Evernote - by email if necessary - so it does a job. The phone is good for images, so it's my main "scanner" - again I can send images from my phone by email, or via Microsoft Lens or Adobe Scan. Between the three devices I have an environment that works for me - your mileage may be different.
  4. You may wait a long time, because I was using 10.99.3 and am using 10.100.1 without any problems or lagging. This issue does seem to be something affecting a relatively small number of users. If you wish to see a resolution it would be worth contacting Support - despite their current reputation. Make sure you respond to any standard messages you get back.
  5. They close requests that have been passed on to the developers.
  6. Sorry - I'm just another user; I have no clue which process has an issue. Best to report this to Support, include Activity Logs and leave them to improve things if and when they can...
  7. Not sure what we're arguing about here. Evernote should be faster than it is on Android is a given. No notes are stored locally by default because of storage space and speed issues - users have to select 'offline' notes or notebooks and painstakingly download them in background* if that access is required. Access to those server-based notes is via online authentication and secure access to local notes is part of that security. Processing changes that are input via a mobile interface on the server and pinging confirmation back to the phone - takes much longer than local processing. The compromises that Evernote already have implemented on mobiles are to try to improve security and performance. They do need to try harder, but nothing about the current process is ill-considered or dumb... * downloading notebooks at any speed would max out the bandwidth of the phone
  8. The best idea is still to raise this via feedback@evernote.com. Changing how the editor works with respect to graphics characters in different OS's will be a complicated process given that Evernote's interactions are via a third-party 'wrapper' and the company will have its own priorities for upcoming work.
  9. feedback@evernote.com to ask for something different - we're not in Kansas anymore, so what used to happen is not longer relevant or available.
  10. All system cleaners are widely derided by anyone in the industry, but I've used a free something called Glary Utilities in the past and it's never (AFAIK) caused me any issues... https://www.glarysoft.com/ There's a one-key system clean and a range of individual tools to find things like duplicate files and empty folders.
  11. We will await the outcome with interest...
  12. No comment. You however seem to be the only person suffering this issue. Maybe report it to Evernote so they're aware of it?
  13. Try a clean reinstall - If Evernote is active, sign out / don't save your data locally / use Revo Uninstaller Free (Win) or Appcleaner (Mac) to uninstall the app. Power off and back on, then re-download and reinstall from Evernote.com and leave Evernote running to rebuild the local data. New installs are typically a little slow - things get better after a day or so.
  14. Once is enough - if Evernote think it's a worthwhile suggestion they'll do something about it. They do have the option to ignore them too...
  15. Thanks for the implied insult to moderators. You seem to be giving as good as you got so far - a little extra research would have led you to the frequent comment here: "we're mainly other users" as am I. The three-dots menu to the top right of your post will include a "report" option which does go to the Forum Admins. The way to avoid conflict here is to ask nicely, and to ignore salty responses. We're all -allegedly- grown-ups with our own issues and any help you receive is out of the kindness of others. As someone commented in your other thread... In the spirit of helping each other in this community, lets focus on addressing the issue thanks.
  16. From my own experience of running a support team under pressure I would say that's not the best thing you could do - better to use existing contacts and references than create a whole new process like a slo-mo DoS attack... If you read the previous comments in this thread, the Head Honcho has an 'Xitter' account - you could try contacting him...
  17. You may be blocked because Evernote thinks you have too many devices connected to your account - and your original suggestion of subscribing would fix that issue. Device blocks are reviewed each month, so you could either wait to see what happens or subscribe for immediate access.
  18. Hi. Win 11 / EN 10.99.3 / ~70K notes here. My Evernote is running fine. Support takes a while to respond, so don't give up hope yet. Do reply to any standard responses you receive. Revo uninstaller should not take hours to process your device - it might be worth repeating the clean reinstall process just to be sure. Do you have a solid network connection? Do you find the same speed issues on the web client as well as the installed version? It might help us make more useful suggestions if you can describe the functions you're finding to be slow...
  19. Hi. Most posts from that 2-year-old thread seem to be from free users. Not sure that there's any indication of an actual bug, but maybe feedback@evernote.com or contacting the Support team would be a good idea - we're mostly other users here...
  20. Hi. How many did you try? I've had 3 or 4, then a password screen, then another 1 or 2 before -finally- getting there... That's only occasionally - don't know why I don't come over as more human... (no suggestions required...)
