  1. Depends on your view: it's already atttracted complaints that it's too small... Let me click that button for you... -The red box is mine, and confirms that if you proceed the content of this note will be shared with others. The link to Evernote's Privacy Policy page gets you a page which unreassuringly is blank except for a big heading "Privacy Center", and the "Supplemental Terms" are basically a 3-page legalese document that says "if anything goes wrong it wasn't Evernote's fault". Yup. Not on anything important. I wasn't overly impressed - it added two words to a 900-word text and changed a couple of others. If you read my posts here, I tend to make occasional small typos because of speed, fat fingers and laziness. I thought this might save me reading things through. It doesn't, particularly; if I use AI I have to check and make sure it didn't change the meaning too badly. Meh.
  2. Hmmn. Hi Mark. Immediate reaction is this shouldn't be happening with RTE... I've had one of these in recent months - the link worked, I dealt with the duplication and moved on. Nothing recent. On your experience - did you search for the note(s) named? Did it/ they exist?
  3. You would be able to download and install 10.58 from Evernote.com if you wish...
  4. Hi. How exactly are you moving files to the import folder. Are these scanned documents / incoming emails / other documents? Does it make a difference if you create another folder to hold your work-in-progress and drag and drop files from there into the Import folder whenever you get a collection ready?
  5. Hi. Are you saying that this used to work and now does not? When did the feature stop working for you? It sounds as though this is more a Google issue than Evernote, with the process being derailed by the "@<notebook>" in the subject line. For the time being you may wish to look into a third-party app called Filterize through which you can set up email-like filters which will trigger on keywords in an incoming email and allocate the resullting note to your chosen notebook autimatically. It is a subscription application but has (I think) a 30-day trial you could use while querying this issue.
  6. Hi. AI is an opt-IN feature. If you don't want to use it, just don't click the AI button on the editing bar. It's not possible to delete that button, but it should be easy to avoid it if you wish. Full disclosure - this is not an 'official' Evernote response - we're mainly all users here. If you want a definitive answer, contact Support.
  7. They probably can, but that's not us; mostly other users here. With the confusion over your payment I'd suggest you start with PayPal to make sure nothing has been paid. When you're happy just go to your My Account page and manage your subscription - upgrade from Free to Personal or Professional (again) from there.
  8. I had your experience with the default notebook - this was a few months / versions ago now, so I'd hoped it would be fixed; but maybe it's back. I had the same problems - no default notebook / unable to add new notes etc and got similar advice - create a new notebook (on the Android in my case) and make it default, then add some notes and check via the desktop to make sure they were synced. I created 'Inbox' and added a few notes, then went to the desktop and moved them over to the original default notebook. Oddly I now had two notebooks with that name; one 'Inbox' and on 'inbox (878910)' (or similar). I deleted the one with numbers and checked for issues, then removed the other. Since when I now see the Deault Notebook correctly on both devices. No clue what was happening there though, other than a bad case of smoke and mirrors.
  9. Thanks for the additional detail - I'm not familiar with iOS and related systems but I'm sure a colleague here will be along shortly...
  10. That link is for feedback too - and will get you a direct response from Evernote, even if it is "we have no immediate plans..." On the work-around front: have you looked at any apps that might reduce the file size of your videos?
  11. Hi. I'd think that you might want to try Snap Assist's support wherever and whoever that might be - I don't think Evernote can be blamed for third party connectionsto its RNA...
  12. Have you raised any of this stuff with Support? Most of it shouldn't be an issue. If I left Evernote, I wouldn't be hanging around the Evernote Forums waiting to advise others how to jump ship... unless I got something out of it. Maybe decide where you want to move and checkout their forums?
  13. Hi. How is Evernote no longer compatible? What did you use the previous versions of the apps for that you can no longer access?
  14. As opposed to Adobe Scan (or any of the other similar apps in the Play Store) that can create the PDF, then share it with Evernote in a couple of clicks.
  15. I envy your blind faith in technology. If you're still confident this is a bug, I'd recommend that you contact Support - while staffers do read posts in the forums, they may not get around to this one for a while.
  16. I didn't want to play the "everything works great for me" card up front, but I have a Samsung S7 Android Tablet and it is as fast as my desktop. No issues here...
  17. Hi. Evernote v10 requires Windows v10 to run. The underlying code base on which Evernote is hosted recently withdrew any support for Windows 7 or 8 since Microsoft no longer offers security updates. Your choices are: change the operating system, or find one of the online sites that offers 'earlier versions' of software. Beware that security at those sites cannot be guaranteed, and you're unlikely to get any support for an older version (or Windows 8). An internet search for "Evernote 10.57.10" or an earllier version back to 6.25 should get you some options.
  18. That's actually a good idea, and not one I've heard before. You might like to raise it as a votable Feature Request in the forums here, or feed it back to Evernote directly. (We're mostly users here, and while staffers do read these pages, it may not be for some time...)
  19. Hmmn. I wonder what happens to the much vaunted "backlinks" when exported...? No time to play right now, but if anyone does, please report any negative outcomes to Support!
  20. Hi. First, this is a mainly user-supported forum and we don't do resolutions here. Please contact Support, using 'Account' from the drop-down for more. Second if you have any queries about the Apple payments, they're the folks to talk to; Evernote has no connection with that bit of the accounting. I wonder why you're paying for both accounts, since you could easily move your Plus content to your Personal account if necessary. Third - I wasn't aware that Plus users had a device limit - if you're getting that message you seem to be using a free account - maybe a small mistype in your login details has generated a 'new' account. Support are the people to resolve all of the above: good luck with your situation.
  21. As opposed to you choosing Article / simplified / selected text? I took a look at the standard Article grab and got the full page plus comments at 3.8MB. No obvious missing bits. Depending on your choices, internet speed and processor ticks, clipping such a big chunk of anything is going to be challenging, particularly if you then ask the nice app to translate whatever it captured into a wholly other code. IMHO clipping is not something which can be 100% reliable given the different methods used to get things online, and the dfferent access and copy protections applied. I tend to use screenshots / printing to PDF and any other tools I can find if clipping doesn't work out for me in the usual way. Thanks for the link though - I'm a Stross fan (a Strossianite?) so I'll read the address with interest. Dude, you broke the future! - Charlie's Diary.enex
  22. Hi. I don't think that word means what you think it means. I also deleted your other post here since it was pointlessly critical of another user. You should be aware that we're mostly all other users here, governed by guidelines as here: https://discussion.evernote.com/guidelines/ and personal attacks are not wlecome.
  23. OK - you will know more than I about any restrictions there might be on importing. I'd suggest you do a web search while you wait for any resonses here - there have been some independent solutions over the years, but I don't know whether any of them are still viable.
  24. So: an HTML export that does work to export note content, except for links to other notes and any attached files. Agreed that's an issue - and it's being deal with in that other thread. It's still possible to export notes by other means, plus occasional competitors who are obviously motivated to get their hands on ex-Evernote users, have ways to Import from Evernote directly or via ENEX.
