  1. Have to say, I don't see the issue. The e-mail and Evernote's reasons for sending it are clear as crystal to me. it says 'Dear subscriber, we are going to be changing our subscription plans, your price won't change, your features won't change. We will be in touch with more details in the coming weeks with new options you can choose' Simple. Totally clear. Why might they send this? Oh, I don't know.. maybe because of all those folk that have been chirruping on about features.. will they have to pay blah blah and so it goes on I personally think Evernote's charges are so cheap THATS the biggest laugh!! £0.865 a week for all that we get as a premium customer - thats such good value.
  2. Hi Jack, I use 'Things' as my core task manager and don't see that changing due to the rich feature set it has and I wouldn't really be expecting Evernote to match. The new Task function in Evernote is brilliant for my workflow and I appreciate the Note centric focus the Task system has - you have that so spot on!! This perfectly compliments Things and is already helping me greatly in both private and business activities I have several use cases I have in play already and I am sure that as I touch Notes in my account I will find more, but, I would actually love the following for completed items-: An ability to choose a global setting for Completed Tasks, such as to be retained for a certain period, for me 'Always', for some perhaps for X amount of time etc - but - with a Task specific override to have a Delete when marked done option My use case here is that I would like to remind myself of certain Tasks, such as I have added an e-mail for an item ordered on Amazon, I want to remind myself to collect the Invoice and add it to the note, when that Task is done, I complete it... I don't need that to clutter the Note after that and its cleaner for it to vanish. Right now I am manually deleting those but an auto-vanish option there would be a real treat Completed Tasks I would generally keep always/forever as part of the Note please, but, I would like to see them semi-hidden behind a collapsed item to keep the length of the Note tight and uncluttered. My daily project Notes, contain all my information for my daily assigned project work with customers. I am loving the fact I can now quickly add Tasks to that Note with brilliant context. If a Note has 2, 3, 5 and higher Tasks the length begins to grow and it begins to look potentially untidy and certainly adds to the scrolling. When completed, I still need to see all these so that I can overview what I completed and have evidence in some circumstances of it - but - it would be super helpful to keep the Note space used by Tasks to a minimum. If the collection of Tasks is collapsed it would be great to have a 'count' as a visual of how much is contained in the collapsed set Would it be possible to add a Date/Time in terms of when a Task was completed; that would be great information to have to hand When Printing or Exporting a Note, it would be great to have the to piton to include or not include the Tasks and I suppose to include or not include the completed Tasks I know you are working on Tasks in Tables but this specific missing ability is something that would really excite me to have as a option; I have quite a number of Notes with information and/or entries in Tables which collect information on a timed basis - which are literally screaming out for this ability - so just a +1 to your efforts in this direction if I may Loving Task V1, it was never in any doubt but you guys have cemented my subscription being paid ✊
  3. I believe Google Authenticator is just a 'style' as opposed to an absolute. I have used Authy in the past but for years have used 1Password as my 2FA token generator with Evernote; always works with no issues whatsoever You can just go ahead and use them.... see attached
  4. Took delivery of my iMac M1 on 28th May; not one single crash with Evernote yet I have over 12,000 notes and use Evernote all day every day for work and personal and use all it's features fairly readily. Seems very stable to me especially when considering from the moment my iMac was powered up it's remained so and not had a reboot. I would like to see them embrace native code rather than needing to rely on Rosetta but from my viewpoint is very serviceable.
  5. Hi there, sorry, cannot confirm. Both macOS and PC installers are downloading here very quickly. I am seeing 4 seconds to complete
  6. I am able to search across all the platforms I use, but, the results are incomplete macOS Big Sur using 10.8.4 iOS using 10.5 Web currently stated to be 10.8.4 via Safari In all cases the number of records, so far, that are shown match BUT the actual Notes displayed is far less than the stated number. On each platform the Notes displayed varies and is not uniform at all. An example is search a Tag, 4800 results. Only 200 or so actually get listed, but a different 200 on each platform
  7. What version of the software are you running; their was a small bug in an earlier version which did not duplicate any attachment This was resolved in 10.6.9 and remains OK in current release version
  8. If you search that page in a web browser [Safari perhaps] itself it says 1 instance of dehumidifier is there but doesn’t show it. This isn’t an Evernote fault, it’s finding what is truly there - somewhere
  9. v10.6.9 seems to have alot of optimisations in this area. I have had the release installed 1-day now and Helper use is currently 2.5% CPU. It does increase when there is work to do, as you would expect, but then drops back to minimal. In addition the RAM use by the application appears optimised. This, along with additional speed improvements in the interface with navigation and note loading
  10. I can't answer the why we can't do that, there may be a technical reason, it may have been tried and ruled out by an earlier test group - it is the same on the 4 platforms I use though, Web, PC, Mac and iOS [don't go anywhere near Android] - and at the end of the day thats the end result they were shooting for 'uniformity'. It's maybe muscle memory required 😀
  11. Click 'Notebooks' You will see the list of all Stacks and Notebooks within them To the right hand side of the Stack you want to rename, click the 'three dots' Select the Option Rename Stack Type a new Name Click Save
  12. I would be solving this without support teams help Web is the point of truth as far as I'm concerned; I always check here first to be sure things have ended up in the right place and actually I am always signed into web so that I can see that as regularly as I want. I hope in future to not have to do this but for now V10 still needs an eye keeping on it as they work on further stability I would look at how many notes are in Web, how many in Legacy and V10 macOS and iOS Legacy may have local note content which would need to be taken into account If Web and Legacy are the same but iOS and V10 are lower, that suggests something is wrong with sync. I would check that all my note content is present in Web, recent edits etc so that there is no chance of loss and then remove and reinstall both V10 and iOS with a clean up of the V10 directories in-between. The process for this is in Forum If Web and V10 match then it's working OK and the higher count in Legacy is purely local notes; thats not a fault of course If iOS is wrong count... I'd just delete and reinstall and let it sync up; personally I no longer bother with offline items because 4G and 5G is so widely available along with WiFi it's not needed in my area of home and work life I might be covering ground here you've already looked at, apologies if thats the case. My Web, Legacy [on a different computer to my V10], V10 and iOS are all in alignment - I haven't had an issue with this except once in beta where a note failed to sync and have to be deleted out to restore order - one of the items you often encounter with any beta testing and it hasn't happened since
  13. Using 10.5.7 here on macOS 11.1 - I have 10,558 notes many as you say are notes with oftentimes multiple PDF attached. I just searched the entire note list for the authorisation number on a random PDF - search found it and highlighted the number as you can see. is that whats not working for you?
  14. Happy to; but we've both used quite open statements. What is unusable? That suggests it doesn't launch/install? Could you narrow in a little and expand on what specifically is the main issue?
  15. I should like to begin 2021 with a virtual HUG and THANKS for the team at Evernote for providing such an accessible and useful tool; one which I couldn't be without. I realise that against a tide of seeming upset with Evernote this comment is maybe a small voice - but - it's an honestly given shout out to the Evernote team for all their efforts. Here, I appreciate the choices you have made and the challenges you face - and - I can see you have the scope to 'potentially' deliver a wonderful leap in this services abilities over the coming months. Evernote for me delivers on so many levels Electronic filing cabinet making me paperless in my personal life Holiday and excursion planner, making it possible to keep literally everything together and be accessible anywhere In my employed life you serve to assist me across every element of my working life from tracking working hours through to acting as a knowledge repository which eclipses anything my employers have. I have a reputation as a person who remembers everything, well, thats only because I make notes here with Evernote and I can find anything in a flash and share that knowledge with people who don't have the foresight to do the same In my extra curricular work life, assisting many small firms with their technical requirements; I keep everything easily at hand and can answer any query they have immediately I have dabbled with other services and other softwares and did leave Evernote following the release of DEVONthink 3, believing that to be a better choice. It's not - at least for me. The sync between macOS software and iOS app broke 3 times requiring a full rebuild. That coupled with formatting and sharing challenges brought me right back here to where things are simple and things do generally work. I actually like v10, I was involved in the beta, it has some things missing over the legacy app, it does some things less well and other things it does better. On balance it's certainly no worse than other services and systems out there and has so much potential to be better - without doubt! 2021 - lets see what v10 can do ✊
  16. Yes, v10.5.7 - I am seeing this very regularly although random in nature. Usually clicking the Notebook a second time loads it - but there is a definite instability here. macOS 11.1 4.2Ghz i7 64GB RAM, 1GB duplex fibre Internet
  17. I have a number of notes which are built as templates stored in a Notebook. I duplicate these as needed to perform templated and recorded tasks With 10.5.6 and 10.5.7 when duplicated, the Note appears correct in macOS; when you check Web the attachments haven't synced - when macOS next syncs with Core they then vanish from the note in macOS
  18. Two notes stored in my Evernote with Purchase Receipt information. 1st note contains a copy of the e-mail sent to Evernote a copy of the source .eml attached from Apple Mail 2nd note is a Web Clip of the website page where the purchase was completed I decided to merge them together on this occasion using the new merge process. Finding the result to be as below, I tried the merge process with and also without the options to insert a divider/retain or remove Note titles. The result of the merge is that the e-mail address details have text   inserted where it shouldn't be - and - the attachment of the .eml file disappears. The .eml is present in the merged content for a short while, then, vanishes as part of the sync process I think - or at least thats how it appears. I have fixed up the content of the newly merged note to make it right although ideally it shouldn't be necessary Text Example Before Merge Text Example After Merge
  19. ...ah that will be it... I am updating from Evernote site directly
  20. @iMarcYou are a few versions behind being 10.4.4 it's now 10.5.7
  21. @gbarry Just updated the release details - I had an auto update on a new launch, thats how I knew actually... But it's available via Download from Evernote.com/download
  22. I have completely removed Evernote and installed fresh; this issue still manifests. The merged note looks great in 10.5.6 but just doesn't sync to the core loosing data - from this point macOS Evernote then doesn't sync properly and has to be closed and relaunched
