  1. Nope; Merging doesn't work, it merges in macOS 10.5.6 and looks great. The note it sends to core is incomplete and looses data. After this, Evernote doesn't sync properly and has to be closed and relaunched
  2. Hi I removed 10.5.6 and went back. Merging notes worked wonderfully... it's just those merged notes don't sync back to the core completely. That then seems to break sync completely. I merged 4 text notes; it looked brilliant and 100% complete. The note was sync'ed to core but only the half of the first note; the second half and the other 3 notes completely lost essentially. If you have merged a note, I would suggest checking Web or another version of Evernote to see if it really is done
  3. Sync I'm afraid seems to be broken Create a note directly in in macOS 10.5.6, it syncs to Evernote and can be seen in Web; edit it in Web and the change doesn't make it to 10.5.6 Create a note in Evernote Web, the All Notes count on macOS updates, the note is not shown at all in the Notebook or in the All notes view Forward an e-mail to Evernote, the All Notes count increments in macOS but e-mail cannot be seen; it's there OK in Web version At this point, moving back to previous version as I need to work 😶
  4. Hi I am updated to 10.5.6, I don't use the merge option too regularly but wanted to now. 4 text notes created via scratch pad, merged them in macOS 10.5.6 all looks absolutely great - but - when the note syncs to Evernote the resultant note contains only 1 of the 4 notes, missing the other 3 parts. I've tried it 3 times but without success take 4 text notes merge notes using all the default options, giving a new title The notes are merged and look great Check on another version of Evernote or Web Note will be only partial
  5. @StaceyAs a thought, I know you mentioned you had re-installed but had you tried clearing the local cache files in case something has become corrupt? I clicked Help | Activity Logs | Show Log Files This opened Finder to where those are, then, if you go up one level you see all the files stored locally You could maybe log out of V10 and completely close. Delete all the local content, re-launch and log in to see if that resolves? I've got several hundred Notebooks, I haven't tried them all admittedly, but so far I haven't seen this here
  6. +1 I've only broadly gained from V10 for my workflow but differently to yourself I did leave Evernote last year... but I came back because frankly having picked the best of the rest [for my needs] it was *****! DEVONthink. Personal experience of course, but having once had to re-sync all my data to then be faced with it a second time - plus data loss. I came back to Evernote 🥰
  7. Completely agree. It is what it is, the starting point of a new framework they can iterate upon and deliver; if you believe what they say. I prefer to believe as having tried the alternatives for my use case quite frankly if they never did anything else to V10 it's still way better than anything else and better than the legacy clients, for my use case. An interesting 12-months ahead I imagine
  8. Yes; very often. It's reported in Beta and continues through the release versions. It seems to affect macOS only and not Windows from my experience. It also seems to begin when the Helper uses up to 100%, as soon as that happens it never seems to 'quiet' down again. If you minimise the CPU use drops away but maximise the window and it's back instantly. If you close the app and relaunch, it's relatively quiet until the next time 100% CPU is hit, then, you are back to square one. Evernote is currently, by a country mile, the most CPU hungry app on my device, even my Windows 10 VM only takes 30% and that in itself has several open apps running I am absolutely convinced this is the reason why many people are saying performance I slow, especially if their hardware is low spec
  9. I actually had a poor experience with DEVONthink; I paid for a licence for V3 and had decided last year to move from Evernote to it, for all the reasons you outlined. I found that as it's Apple only as a platform it restricted me more than I realised and more than I wanted to surrender. I suffered data loss during their Beta rounds, I participated in. On 3 occasions after full release where app updates resulted in a solution that wouldn't load - I had to download the DMG and fully install again. The OCR technology mangles scans on an ongoing basis and therefore I couldn't use it despite paying the licence for it. The iOS app is very slow to sync and can be devilishly hard to surface results and is unstable. The major thing which caused me to ditch them was not once but twice the sync via Dropbox and macOS/iOS apps broke down. Without any reason nothing would sync. I repaired it once, which took ages. When it happened a second time... well... I called time on the software and came crawling back to Evernote.
  10. No; I won't be switching anytime soon. I've looked at all the so called competitors over the previous 18-months and they don't work for me. I'm happy with the current situation it does have some foibles of course; the new software on Mac, PC and iOS is broadly working well for me and many of the irritations I had before have been solved, so, I am actually thrilled. Open minded for the future and for what they can achieve now the technical debt is reduced/eradicated
  11. I just wanted to say, I've have been using the beta app and macOS beta app and a huge congratulations to the whole team getting here and building an Evernote for now and tomorrow. Looking forward to what you will deliver next. I so appreciate you providing this service. 🥰
