  1. I tried your suggestion...opened the note in a new window. AI Cleanup ran fine. So far, it's worked 100% of the time. Many thanks!
  2. I was successful with AI Cleanup on Windows with two different notes just now. Both were BRAND NEW NOTES. When I tried AI Cleanup with other notes created as recently as Dec. 24, I got the same error message as I had been getting and as others in this thread are getting.
  3. It's not working for me on Evernote for Windows. It is working for me on Evernote Web.
  4. Version 10 also has a keyboard shortcuts for a date stamp and one for a time stamp. Evernote for Mac: Date Stamp (Shift + Command + D) or Time Stamp (Option + Shift + Command + D) Evernote for Windows: Date Stamp (Shift + Alt + D) or Time Stamp (Ctrl + Shift + D)
  5. The Evernote Helper provides an easy way to trap random bits of information during the day and then get right back to work. Often, later in the day, those random bits of information are transferred to their appropriate places. WHEN that random bit of information happened is often important. It would be great to be able to quickly log the time.
  6. Thanks to @agsteele for providing the link to a very helpful article. Quoting from the article along with my thoughts: Define your why. As you sit down to think about what you want to accomplish in the next 12 weeks, you’ll want to first get clear about the why that’s driving those efforts. Ask yourself: Why are these projects/goals important? How will they help my team? From there, write two different statements: One should be aspirational and should speak to how you want your life to look from a big-picture perspective. The other should be short-term, speaking to key goals you want to accomplish within the next 1-3 years. This will serve as your foundation as you move forward and provides meaningful context on what you’re ultimately working towards. To me, this sounds like a note where you would articulate your "why." Maybe make it a pinned note widget on Evernote Home so that you see it every day. Establish goals for each of the 12 weeks. 12 week is the same as three months, so you’re essentially asking yourself: What do I need to accomplish in this short time frame? Remember to set SMART goals so that you’re not setting yourself up for failure. “Whether it’s 12 weeks or a quarter, the magic is in these short term sprints that help you stay focused and that keep you from procrastinating or forgetting about things.” -Genki Hagata, Web Developer at HugeInc My thinking is you would create a note for each 12-week period. Name them Quarter 1, 2023; Quarter 2, 2023, etc. or something like that. Make a bulleted list of the goals or articulate each goal in a paragraph and provide as much detail as needed. Depending on the size of the goals, a variation would be to have a notebook for each quarter and each notebook would have a note for each note goal. Build a plan of action. To start making progress toward your 12-week goals, you’ll need an actionable series of steps that’ll help you get to the finish line. Assign realistic due dates to each task and consider the potential roadblocks ahead of time so you can anticipate them and proactively plan for those as well. “I’ve found that using quarters as my main time horizon is the perfect balance between the extremes of daily/weekly planning and the annual review.” –Roxine Kee, freelance marketer For each goal, think through the to-dos and put them in the correct notes as tasks. Be sure to word them clearly enough so they are easy to do with as little referencing back to the note as possible. For example, if the task is an email to send, include the email address in the task rather than having to refer than having to use the link to refer back to the note. You want as little friction as possible. In particular, think through actions that will need to repeat and create them as such. Review often. A key component to the 12 week year is frequent review of progress so you can accurately assess how things are going. Schedule a block of time (no more than 30 minutes) into your weekly calendar to look back at what’s been accomplished and what’s still left to do. “I love the aspect of ‘halting production’ and getting up in the helicopter to review whether we’re still moving in the right direction. We use the same methodology with our clients, and it works so well.” -Andrew Lolk, Founder of Savvy Revenue Create a weekly repeating task to review the goals. Perhaps, create a weekly repeating task for each individual goal with a link to the note that expands on the goal. As you review, update what tasks have perhaps been completed but not marked off, what remaining tasks and no longer relevant and delete them, and what new tasks are emerging and add them. Of course, the biggest thing is you have to get in there and to the stuff (always the toughest part 🥸).
  7. Personally, I would not want all tasks automatically grouped at the top of a note. To me, seeing the task in context with the information which triggered it is helpful. So if I have text that says, "Carol said Bob has more information about the XYZ report," I would want to have a task that says, "Call Bob about the XYZ report" appear just under the text about what Carol said. That makes it easier to know exactly why I am calling Bob. I see the point for your particular needs, but while making that change would help some, it would hurt the workflow for others.
  8. I started the original post. The solution to the issue (caused by RTE) was to be sure notes were closed. That would allow TaskClone to be able to make needed changes to the note. I was also experiencing issues with three IFTTT applets that involved appended to a particular Evernote note. Keeping that note closed unless I really needed to be in it solved the issue. Something seems to have changed May 24th between 10:00AM and 6:00 PM CDT. The morning of May 24th is the last time any of the 3 IFTTT applets fired. I am just getting back in the country after being on vacation for two weeks. My desktop computer was off. I left my laptop at home. Neither my tablet not phone ever looked at the one Evernote note in question, so it was closed the entire time. During the vacation, I had not been adding tasks into Evernote notes, but after returning, I am seeing that a task just added yesterday appeared on Remember The Milk three times and the task has yet to acquire the |TC| skip code.
  9. I was also seeing an issue with IFTTT applets where the action is appending to an Evernote note. The solution was to be sure the destination note in Evernote is closed.
  10. This information is from TaskClone: Duplicate Tasks in Evernote Without notice, Evernote recently released an update called "Real-Time Editing" that apparently blocks notes from being updated by their API while the note is open in the app or browser. This change means TaskClone is unable to update notes with Skip Codes or remove the Trigger Tag. This will ultimately cause tasks to be duplicated when the note is edited again. For now, please make sure that you close the note in your browser or app as soon as you add the Trigger tag. Please allow 2 minutes before opening the note again so the process can complete. We will update here when we have a more durable fix. Source: https://support.taskclone.com/article/358-duplicate-tasks-in-evernote
  11. Here is a short portion of a note. I happened to pull up this note to work with it today. Notice the (I guess ASCII) in place of what had been punctuations. Looking at the version history, it was like this on May 5th. Below, you see the same text as it appeared in the May 4 version history. Not sure how widespread it is. How Can I Take the Book Study? 12. @Dave-in-Decatur Typo. I should have said "location OF the taskbar." But again, I had not moved the taskbar. Based on what @bmcl26 said, I also found if I clicked the elephant head in the taskbar, the Evernote Helper would appear in the lower-right corner. If I used the keyboard shortcuts (which is what I do all the time), the Helper would appear in another corner.
  13. Glad to see it's not just me! I submitted a ticket on this. The initial response I got was that it had to do with the location on the taskbar. Well, I had not done anything with the taskbar. It went from being in the lower right to lower left to upper left and now back to the lower left. For those who haven't used it, the Evernote Helper is so convenient. It's like the little memo pad that used to live by the phone during the pencil and paper days. Great place to jot ANYTHING and then clean it up later.
  14. Not a big thing, but wondering if others are seeing this and if I have control over it. I am running Evernote Windows version 10.54.4 The Evernote Helper has always appeared in the lower right corner of the screen. Yesterday, it started appearing in the lower LEFT corner. I restarted the computer to see if that would have any effect. The Evernote Helper is now appearing in the UPPER LEFT corner of the screen. Anyone else seeing this behavior?
  15. I received the same message as Roberto Jody. It does indicate the issue is on IFTTT's radar. From IFTTT: If a service on IFTTT is experiencing high error rates it may be temporarily paused to prevent Applets from becoming disconnected due to too many failed attempts to run. You can read more about paused services here. The service will be unpaused and should resume functioning normally once the issue causing these errors has been resolved. I don't have an exact timeline on when Evernote will be available again but the team here is investigating and we'll update you on this thread once we have some additional information. If you have any additional questions please let us know!
  16. Same issue here. I am a Pro IFTTT user and have submitted a help ticket to them.
  17. Last year, Evernote made this offer: Make your gift memorable this year For only $69.99, give someone a full year of Evernote Personal. To send your gift, fill out the information below and complete your purchase. Evernote will send your gift recipient an email with a link to redeem the gift and you will be notified when the gift is redeemed. Here is the link included (which is still a live link): https://www.evernote.com/BillyGift.action The idea was anybody was already had a paid Evernote account (and therefore a credit card on file) could pay for an account for a new user as a gift. I am wondering if this opportunity continues to be available. Does anyone know one away of the other?
  18. The "Things to Do" note is just a holding tank. My understanding is that it's not designed for anybody to work from. Your client should think of it like that closet that is stuffed with stuff and that you never, never open.
  19. I just got an email from support and downloaded this latest release. All looks good on Windows. However, Evernote Web and the Andoid app stil display the same issue for me. I am sure the issue has to do with the all-day event (12PM to 12PM) "spilling over" by an hour one way or the other with the time change and causing the events to show up on two different days I had suggested to tech support some time back that perhpas there might be a way for Evernote Calendar to see those times as 1AM to 11PM so that a one-hour shift would still keep the event within the same day no matter where in the world someone was (since different parts of the world enter and leave DST on different days, and some places don't oberve DST at all).
  20. I don't think it was ever resolved at all. Most people didn't notice because it had to do with the time change. For example, as we approached Daylight Savng Time, we would start to see all-day events a couple of weeks out appear on the correct day AND the following day. As soon as Daylight Saving TIme began, the probably appeared to go away...but it didn't. The problem merely shifted to events in Standard Time appearing on the correct day AND a day early. Since those were now months out, there were less likely to be noticed...until we approached the next time change.
  21. I have been seeing this issue ever since the release of Evernote Calendar...but now it seems there is a new twist. When we are in Standard Time, all-day events happening in Daylight Saving Time would appear on the correct date AND the day following day. For example, Easter would appear on Sunday AND Monday. When we are in Daylight Savong Time, all-day events happening in Standard Time would appear on the correct day AND the previous day. For example, Christmas would appear on December 25th AND 24th. According to feedback I received from support, the error was to be corrected inan upcoming release. The new issue is that ALL all-day events are appearing on the correct day and a day early. The problem started Saturday morning (July 30). I happened to be working on a project that invovled taking a screen shot of my Evernote Calendar. One screen shot looked fine. A second screenshot I took later that morning was now also showing "Church" as an event for Saturday. I did report the issue. The initial feedback I received from one tech support person was she was not able to reproduce the error. From what I am reading here, it's not just me.
  22. Mark, sorry about that. I have edited my previous post. Could you take a look now?
  23. Take a look at these instructions for date/time stamp: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209004877-Add-date-and-time-stamps-to-your-notes#:~:text=You can also insert date,(Shift %2B Alt %2B D) Since Evernote 10, Shift + Alt + D on Windows produces a date stamp, not a date & time stamp.
  24. I read the "Fixed highlights" for the Web 10.30 release, but replies are closed so I could not respond there.

One of the items in your post was:

    • All day events would sometimes visually appear a day early in the Calendar widget.

I am still seeing the issue. Actually, the issue now is all-day events appearing on the correct day AND ALSO the following day. I am seeing this for all-day events which happen DURING DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME.

I first noticed the issue as soon as the Calendar Widget rolled out. At that time, we were in DST. All-day events occuring during standard time were appearing on the correct day AND ALSO A DAY EARLY. In other words, Christmas was showing on Dec. 24 and Dec. 25.

As soon as the time changed from DST to standard time, the problem flipped. All-day events occuring during standrard time are OK, but DST events are out of wahck. Independence Day in the US shows up for July 4 and July 5, for example.

There was also an issue when created a note from an All-Day event. During DST, the date formatting on the notes was incorrect. A note would say something like "November 5-November 4" for a one-day event on Nivember 5.

  25. Same problem here. Using Chrome. I tried uninstalling and re-installing. No luck.
