  1. I noticed, this, too. There's now an extra step for deleting a note in Evernote 10. The lack of shortcuts and other features has made Evernote 10 slower and more cumbersome to use than version 6.
  2. I love Evernote and have recommended it far and wide. Coincidentally, like you I've been a premium user since 2008. Evernote 10 for Windows disappoints me. It's a step down. It's less functional than Evernote 6. For instance, shortcuts can't be put at the top, many Windows shortcut keys are gone, fewer notes are visible at a time.
  3. With a sigh, I reverted to the legacy version of Evernote. I expect Evernote will improve and evolve, but, like others, Evernote 10 was slower on my Windows computer than Evernote 6. I also can't do without the keyboard shortcuts, create a new note and paste text into a note.
  4. I found this registry tweak keeps the taskbar from flashing when I open a new note or paste into a note 99 percent of the time: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/disable-flashing-taskbar-buttons-windows.
  5. That was the missing ingredient. Thanks. I've recently switched from a Windows PC to a Chromebook, so a robust, fully-featured Evernote web client has become even more important to me. I see more web features are coming and I'm looking forward to that.
  6. I'm using the new Evernote web client in Chrome, but don't see an option to create a template after I start a new note. Can you help me? I see this: Thanks.
  7. I've noticed a significant delay in opening notes on my Pixel 3, including in notebooks that are available offline.
  8. One man's bug, is another's swarm of spiders. 😉 OS feature or bug, it would be nice to find a cure. One possible cure would be for new Evernote windows to always appear on top. If that were to happen, I think that the Windows taskbar would not be popping up. I've followed the threads about this other topic --getting Evernote to open a note on top-- and, this, too seems to be in a state of limbo. For some, notes open on top; for others, including me, notes sometimes open on top (in that case the taskbar doesn't pop up), and sometimes they don't open on top of all other windows. I oten use another notes program called Notezilla because it mimics post-its and lets me stick notes to my Windows desktop. When I create a note using Notezilla, that note always appears on top of other apps, and never summons the taskbar.
  9. I use Deskpins to pin a note to my Windows desktop. It's not a perfect solution, but it works just fine: https://efotinis.neocities.org/deskpins/
  10. I use Notezilla, https://www.conceptworld.com/Notezilla. It's not a perfect solution, but it's better than no sticky notes. As a sticky notes app, Notezilla is pretty good. You can use Notezilla's send to email function to send notes to your Evernote email address. Notezilla has a companion Android app; notes sync between Windows and Android.
  11. I agree. I just wrote Art Deco and Evernote thought Deco was misspelled. It's now 2018. Evernote is also unaware of many proper nouns and company names, such as Bulova and Breitling, which Evernote wanted to change to Wrestling. Evernote's spelling suggestions are weak. Take the misspelled animal name, ekidna. My fault, I know, for not knowing how to spell this Australian animal. But Evernote suggested kidnap. Google, however, correctly suggested, echidna. I prefer using Evernote over Google Docs (my main word processing program), in part because it's super fast to summon and is on all of my devices. But Evernote would be better if its spellchecker was modernized and updated.
  12. Dave's suggestion is a good one. Though I sorely miss the ability to instantly start voice recording through the widget. I will say that even two clicks in Evernote is more convenient than the four (or five if you want to delete the previous dication) clicks you need for speech to text using Dragon Anywhere on Android. And then Nuance's Dragon Anywhere appends "Created with Nuance Dragon Anywhere" to the end of every single note imported into Evernote, even in the paid version.
  13. Speech to text is gone. That's bad. I used this feature via a widget on my Android phone at least twice a day. Speech to text was the fastest way I found to take notes in Evernote. I hope that the feature returns.
