How to put a quote in the first line?

Hi,

I want a quote box in the first line of my note (Windows app).  So far all the options I have tried always insert a blank line above (not empty space) that I can not remove without also removing the quote box formatting of the text on the next line.  It seems this blank line insertion only happens when you try to create the quote block there - elsewhere it simply creates the box where the cursor is.

This could possibly have something to do with the special behavior of the 1st line, automatic transfer as title.

Also the case for tables 😤. Together with other problems around images and attached files within bulleted lists I think these are problems of EN's stylesheet definitions (which we cannot adjust). I often struggle with unnecessary blank lines that cannot be removed...

In some cases (in Windows) they can be deleted from the right-click drop-down menu.
