WebClipper update: multi-select

Ciao folks. A quick one to let you know that we just released a Web Clipper update that introduces a new clip format: multi-select.
You can now select multiple items in a single webpage and clip them in the same note.

It's out on Chrome and Edge, while it is still pending approval on Safari and Firefox (you'll likely find it there in a few days).

Next, we're focusing on making Web Clipper faster.

Interesting. But unfortunately it seems to have problems with images 🤔

Interesting. Have you tried again on a different site. I know there were some issues with images appearing at times a week ago.

I got it working here on Win 10 with 10.58.3

Webclipper probably has some challenges when clipping from more complex pages.

Clipping images from more simple pages seems to work OK. 👍

Also, the pages with problems may contain .webm images which don't render in Evernote.

I can see this functionailty being really useful. It's nice to see that the original selection behaviour (select text first then hit webclipper icon) still works as well.

@janndk Interesting. Just found the page and one of the image URLs is:

The .jpg is right in the middle of the URL so maybe the clipper is having an issue realising its an image.

It won't let me select images on https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket either but the images are again coded in a non-standard way. You can't copy any or right click and open image in a tab.

It was just some random testing. If I really needed to clip that image, I would probably do it in another way.

But this new multi-select feature will surely be useful in many other cases.

This looks very promising. I made a quick test with this page: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/column-l-a-vandals-are-targeting-pride-flags-and-it-s-not-having-the-effect-they-hoped-for/ar-AA1cBe7C?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=9a3ce6632bf34192b4eb386bcde646f6&ei=44, clipping the headline, the image near the top, and the next two text paragraphs. It consistently failed to get the image. I also tried selecting the same portions, then using Web Clipper, and again it couldn't get the image.

Multi-select gets the texts, but not the image.

Selecting (highlighting with mouse) the text and the image, and then "save the selection to EN", sets the webclipper in an endless saving mode.

Thank you for the report on the hang. I reproduced and filed a ticket for the devs. 

As to the image, this is a problematic website for us because in simplified and article mode the image is also not saved. Thanks for reporting!
