shortcut onto home screen is gone?

I really liked that I can make shortcut to a particular note right on my home screen.

Was this incredibly useful function just been removed in new version??

Yes, this option doesn't exist in version 10 for Android. We don't know if there is a plan for it to be restored as an option 

Update: v10.6 which is just released is said to have: Simple note widget and 'Add to home screen' widget

Hi all! The option to add a specific note to Home Screen should be available in Android 10.6!

in 10.6 (and above) to add a note to the home screen, open the note in Evernote and click on the three dots at the top-right. then select "add to home screen"

What about option to add a Notebook to the home screen? I didn't find that option.

Currently only notes can be added to home, no notebooks.

sorry what do you mean? You are directly contradicting my post by your sentence :-] I said I want to make shortcuts for notes on my homescreen and this does NOT work anymore!

Update Evernote app to v10.6. Open note that you want to create a shortcut to home screen. Tap on 3 dots in the upper right corner of the note. Now scroll down the menu and click on "Add note to device Home screen".

my problem is I cannot see the home screen on my android? 

I also cannot figure out how to sync my notes to google calandre. It is all set up but the notes do not appear in calandre.

If you have the side panel view (tapped on 3 horizontal lines bottom left), the Home Screen option is right below your user name top left.
