  1. Yes - it works fine on my iPad. I think it connects via an internal note id that remains constant across platforms. >>Yeah, but that moves me back to manual adding to calendar. At one time I was using an AppleScript to create the calendar event. It worked well, created the link and set event title correctly.
  2. For those interested in adding a sort function to Evernote, you might be interested in this discussion https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/24043-how-to-sort-the-text-within-a-note/?do=findComment&comment=397677 Mac Platform Solution
  3. You reported this problem for the Windows platform. Are you able to check the same notes on the web platform to identify if it's a data problem, or specific to Windows?
  4. You might be right, but my feeling is that it's better for a product to stick to its core function. This is my preference for Evernote also. An example is if I want to do some serious writing, I use a Word Processing app instead of ranting about features that EN should add. Likewise with calendar and reminder functions.
  5. This is a level of maturity and intelligence we don't often see in these forums. It doesn't inspire me to look at any videos you post. We are users like yourself. It is not our app. Was there a specific problem we could assist you on?
  6. It's been much discussed in the forum. You're using the external link, and you want the internal link, also called the classic link. On my Mac, I can retrieve the classic link by holding down the option key when I copy a link.
  7. Thats an ugly process - I'm favoring a more integrated solution
  8. Thanks Ilia, looks like it solved that problem (opening directly in Saferoom to encrypt pdf) It still looks ugly in Evernote. Prefer to be viewing a Saferooom object/attachment instead of the encryption jumble.
  9. I glanced at this briefly. Apart from the sunset part, my concern was that I did not want to switch to another calendar app; I'm guessing the Google Calendar people might feel the same way. The solution I wanted, fed into the calendar system I currently used (iCloud)
  10. As mentioned above, you can sign out of Evernote. Its what I would do if I shared my computer with other people. Also, you might want to add your vote for this feature; left corner at the top of the page - the vote is now 12
  11. My understanding that these details have already been confirmed. Can you explain, if your data is confidential and needs to be encrypted, WHY!!! would you allow it to be sync'd unencrypted.
  12. Thats great news - I will look forward to using your product.
  13. Thats true, and I think its why the process is different on IOS For example, Evernote doesn't provide encryption/decryption on IOS; they provide a popup window to view encrypted text. Likewise, Saferoom has a differnt process.
  14. It was a concern giving access to my calendar and Evernote, but its a requirement if they are going to update both. More holes poked into my security, and possibly my deal with the devil (no offence intended to Cronofy) Evernote seems a little more sophisticated. You can access a panel to see who has access, and revoke that access. Also, if things go south - the damage is limited to my notes. I don't see anything like that at Apple for my calendar access. Also my calendar is integrated into my Apple account. Perhaps @adambird can comment on this.
  15. If we're talking about notes to be encrypted - you should not be working in a sync'd folder - use either a local folder or work outside Evernote.
  16. You might be interested in the auto sync service discussed at https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/55121-sync-reminders-with-google-calendar/?do=findComment&comment=369106 It's an announcement of the Cronofy Calendar Connection Service; a two way sync between Evernote reminders and the Calendar (iCloud, Google, +)
  17. I think "zero knowledge" is a specialized term related to encryption. I was also concerned about giving access to Evernote. I just want my note text encrypted/decrypted; not this overhead. Something similar to a pdf - I don't have to grant Evernote access to have it encrypted or decrypted.
  18. I see they just implemented the "code block" feature. I'm not sure the benefit of this other than it cleans out underlying formatting. I'm not holding my breath, but a next step would be to implement a formatting option where you identify the code language and syntax highlighting is applied.
  19. Can you provide more details on why you need this? For me, the title and date sorting is usually sufficient. I did find that I preferred a different layout for my daily journal. I wanted the order to be Activities .... Tasks Now: ... Tasks Soon: ☐iTunes - New Episodes Projects ... So I generate the lists in date order, then I copy the links into the above sections. I can do any further sorting by moving the links around. Beyond that - there's only two areas that allow manual sorting. Reminders and Shortcuts For example, if you have a set of notes you need in a manual order; drag them to the Shortcuts area. Other than that, I would precede the title with a number (example 00100, 00200, 00300) and sort by title. You will be able to insert new notes (example 00210)
  20. >>Really needs read-only mode. I agree - its and odd omission - I would have expected it as a beginning point in the UI. I've seen other products requiring a click on an edit button to make changes. I up voted this request - it;s now at 1 (top left corner of the thread)
  21. Likewise, I have too many "hot notes" to list under Shortcuts. Instead, I have a tag !Hot Notes which is in my shortcuts. Its simple to add or remove notes from this list just by applying or removing the tag
  22. It works on the Mac desktop platform - My carefully hierarchy of tags is messed up with the additional tags from notebooks that have been shared with me. I like @ryanopaz's idea of "Share this notebook" with a check box option "allow tagging". This gives me the option because to be honest, usually I don't want people adding tags at random. My notebook, my tag rules. It's actually not a big issue, but I have to make sure there's a clearly defined set of tags. I usually set them all on the first few notes which define the scope of the shared notebook.
  23. Until this gets changed you can always insert emoji into to the name. for example notebook1, notebook2 It works for tags too.
