  1. I'm glad someone's taking a positive view of all this... I'm really not looking to start one of those multi-quote / here's where you're wrong exchanges - all I was actually trying to highlight was that if an app starts to emit smoke and make odd screechy noises, it's usually a sign that maybe it's being pushed a little too hard. A sensitive user might then back off and let things cool down - and maybe look for other ways to achieve the same result. Just because Evernote accepts searches and tags we shouldn't necessarily expect it to be accurate up to 1,000 searches and tag changes per minute. The software isn't necessarily the limitation - it's how fast things can reliably get updated over wifi through multiple host applications (Elektron / browsers etc.) We have less than a dozen people posting here who are suffering from the issues, and several who are absolutely not - and those who reach these forums often may be seen as a little... assertive... sometimes. The jury's out on whether this was a world-shattering bug or a relatively minor glitch. However - I absolutly do not imply that you're wrong in anything you've said; neither of us actually knows what the problem is here - hopefully we'll find out more when the next version is released.
  2. Maybe the indicator here is that while it may be possible to reproduce issues by following a particular process, if the majority aren't suffering the issue at all and maybe don't follow that process regularly or to extremes, it means the procedure could be an edge case that most folks don't need - and the answer is to find a way around that situation rather than try to over-engineer the app until its completely fireproof...
  3. I also use Bitwarden and don't have any issues - it shouldn't be affecting the app. Do you use a VPN or any network security?
  4. With two or three different devices having issues, it sounds as if you may have an issue that is more location driven than app-related. Do you have a fast internet connection when this occurs, and is it a home or business issue - ie could there be third-party firewalls involved?
  5. Hi. We're mainly other users in the Forums here, so to make sure Evernote is aware of this issue please contact Support via https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new or the link in Settings on any mobile device. Similar issues regarding the Chinese language have also been reported.
  6. That might be your issue. If you try again, use the Evernote.com route - App Stores sometimes offer slightly different versions for their own perceived security reasons...
  7. Hi. Open a browser and go to https://www.evernote.com/Devices.action to 'remove' one existing device from the account, then sign in to Evernote.com to regain access. You'll be able to change back later. Always remove a device before connecting a new one. The error message suggests your internet connection is weak, or maybe you have limited local storage space. Try looking for system cleanup option for both devices.
  8. Thanks for the headsup. As a Norton user you can also feed back to them direct...
  9. Hi. There's been no official announcement that Plus has been discontinued (AFAIK) so this may be a billing error. You'd need to contact Support to resolve it though - we're mainly other users here. Try https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new and choose 'billing' as the query type*. If the worst happens you'll be able to downgrade to free and continue access to your notes through 2 devices and with lower account limits for size and upload capacity. * I'm assuming you're renewing directly with Evernote. If you use another web store please check with them.
  10. Hi all - contact Support if you can (we're mainly other users here) and maybe try a reinstall? A new version should be along shortly which will resolve this.
  11. Hi. If you're using a free version, you get nagged at the discretion of the provider - maybe feedback to Evernote that they're being a little too keen? (We're mainly other users here.)
  12. Hi. This is a known bug which should be corrected soon. Meantime search in 'All Notes' and apply the notebook as a filter if necessary.
  13. Hi. Any reasonably-priced scanner should be able to convert a document into a searchable PDF which can be saved to a desktop folder and automatically imported into Evernote. Alternatively apps like Adobe Scan or Microsoft Lens will work for mobiles. Save those scans to a cloud drive folder configured as an Import Folder.
  14. Hmmn. Weird. Haven't seen anything to suggest the feature is subscriber only. If you have the time you could sign out of Evernote, opting out of saving data on this device; then uninstall the app using something like Revo Uninstaller Free (windows) or Appcleaner (Mac) which will delete the files and OS usually leaves behind, then power the device of and on again and re-download and reinstall the app. That'll take a little while....
  15. Best advice is to contact Support and share experiences - the more information they have, the quicker this can get fixed...
  16. Hi. Without seeing the warnings you're receiving we can't comment on whether or not these are 'attempts' - but if you're frequently changing your password to a unique new one and have 2FA active, there's no way that anyone other than you can access the account. Evernote's advice is: What to do if you suspect unauthorized access to your Evernote account
  17. Contact Support (we're mainly other users here). Plus: sign out of Evernote, unselect 'save data on this device' and power the device off and on. Sign back in to have your database rebuilt from the server. If that fails, uninstall the app with something like Appcleaner to completely remove all related files; then powercycle the device and reinstall.
  18. Hi. See - What to do if content is missing from a note
  19. Has anyone getting the 'access to notebook lost' messages tried just running the same search on everything rather than limiting it to one notebook? I had a couple of 'access lost' glitches, but was still able to find the note I needed by switching the search. No restarts necessary...
