  1. This is on our list. Thanks for reaching out @KDHPro.
  2. @lost_gweedo Thanks for sharing these detailed ideas. You said you wanted to be able to put more info within each task. We are definitely working on some things aimed at addressing that need. But just making sure you know: on the latest versions, you can put clickable URLs and up to 1,000 characters in the task title. (Internal note links don't work yet, but we'll be fixing that in the next couple of releases.)
  3. @Pere This point makes a ton of sense to me: I'd like to have another panel, on the right-hand side of the screen (on the Desktop) that shows the tasks of the current note, folder or stack (there would be a switch to select the scope). This way I would always have the list of tasks of the current project. An idea for a solution to that problem that isn't quite what you are describing but would be much simpler to implement: Right now the Tasks view (some people call it the Tasks drawer) closes if your cursor is focused anywhere outside it. We could give you the option to "pin" it open, so you can see it alongside the note you are working in. Any reactions to that idea?
  4. Wow @TheKnighWhoSaysNIthis is great. I really appreciate your taking the time to lay out the list on this. I think we're going to have a lot of the things you're looking for, and you've also given us some great additional ideas.
  5. Thank you @gazumped @Claudiofpiga @agsteele @PinkElephant. Lots for us to chew on here. I'm curious what you all think of @gazumped's suggestion of a printable view that can be carried around. I've been thinking a lot about this use case (I sure would use it personally🙂), but I've heard some feedback that "people don't really use printers that much any more because they're a pain to connect to, troubleshoot, etc." If that's true, it would make this feature a lower priority on our roadmap. How much do others value the printable view feature?
  6. There have been a huge number of requests for a calendar view of tasks and/or an integration that allows tasks to be seen on a 3rd party calendar (Google Calendar, Outlook, iCal, etc.). We're starting to think through how we will build this feature. What are your use cases for for a calendar view of tasks? What are the must-solve problems this feature needs to address for you?
  7. Thanks for the feedback @vladcampos! I agree with you. This feature is not equivalent to a whole separate Evernote-like experience where non-Evernote users can manage large numbers of tasks assigned to them. The idea is to give non-Evernote users a way to interact with a task assigned to them at a basic level without having to sign up for Evernote. I think in the future you'll see us add a reference to how many other tasks are assigned to them, so they have more of a sense for whether they should sign up for Evernote as a way to manage those tasks in a more sophisticated way.
  8. Hi @markjlI'm sorry to hear you're still experiencing this. We fixed this on mobile in 10.19. Can you confirm that you're using that version or higher?
  9. @Steve Klinghofferthis problem is definitely on our radar. Thanks for sharing your experience.
  10. This is very much on our radar @NSmabyand @jvbrummett. Thanks for the feedback.
  11. Hi there @M. Black, we are working on managing completed tasks in the context of recurring tasks. An archiving function is a little further down the road. Making sure you know: in the Tasks view, in the 3-dot menu at the top right, under view options, you can select "Move completed to bottom", which puts your tasks in a Completed section at the bottom of each note (while you are still in the Tasks view). We're still evaluating the right approach for managing completed tasks while you are viewing the note itself.
  12. Also, on the desktop app, you can use the keyboard shortcuts Alt + T on Windows and Cmd + T on Mac.
  13. Hi all, Thanks for trying Tasks in Early Access and sharing your feedback! You helped us identify bugs, refine this exciting feature, and create an Evernote that better meets your needs. I’m pleased to say that Tasks is now released to all Evernote customers as part of our new lineup of subscription plans. To find out more about how we’re incorporating your feedback into Tasks, check out this post on the Evernote blog. Although Tasks has now transitioned to general availability, your opinion matters and I hope you’ll continue sharing your thoughts with us. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out directly here. Thanks, Jack
  14. Hi there @Alabamas there have been many requests for this, and we are thinking hard about it. Appreciate your sharing the thought!
  15. Hi there @Jun Hashimoto and @rmw, we decided to remove the reset function because (1) usage of the feature was close to zero and (2) we were getting complaints about how much space it was taking up in the Tasks view relative to how much people wanted to use it. That said, we very much understand the need to be able to reset multiple tasks at a time, and we're working on some features that will make that a lot easier. Thanks for hanging in there with us while we get those features in place.
  16. Hi @Element1604thank you for taking the time to write this super detailed post with all the screenshots! It makes it much easier to understand what you are requesting. We have heard multiple requests for all of the features you mentioned. I can't give you a specific timeline, but I can say we see the need here and we're thinking hard about all of the things you have mentioned.
  17. Thanks @manifold1978 @buckethead @Mike P. Definitely appreciate the need for this on the Tasks view. I actually feel the need directly myself, for what it's worth. This one is solidly on the radar.
  18. @VilleDudeThanks for this post! This feature makes a lot of sense. It's definitely on our radar.
  19. @kylehassettreally appreciate this post and especially appreciate the specific examples! If we had those features, would you upgrade to Premium? 🙂
  20. +1 to what @PinkElephant said. Definitely appreciate the need for this feature, but we won't have it out in the next 2 weeks @Zach Rieker.
  21. @rmwthanks for this. We have fixed the problem where notes in which all tasks were completed continued to appear in the Tasks view, so hopefully that irritant diminishes for you. Would love to understand how you balance "nice to see the progress" and "do not need to see the task after completion". For how long after the task is completed do you like to be able to see the progress?
  22. @DTLow, thank you for sharing! Help me understand what you mean by "archive for project notes"? also, for project notes that you are actively using, do you keep all completed tasks in that note visible the whole time? how do you keep them from cluttering up the note?
  23. We are working on improving how we handle completed tasks. How completed tasks work affects many aspects of Tasks, including existing features such as the Tasks view and in-note tasks, as well as potential future features such as recurring tasks or tasks in tables. It also has implications for things like speed and performance. So: How do you manage completed tasks in your life? How long after you complete a task do you still need to access it easily? How important is it for you to see the context of the completed task when you access it? In your answers, it would be really helpful if you could share your specific use case. We typically build our designs with vivid, specific, real-life examples in mind. Tell us your story!
  24. Hi there @LennyThaw this Help & Learning article hopefully addresses your question: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500003920602
