Bizarre! Maybe a failed update or something. Is it the Windows store version or the download from the EN website?

I think its slowly... certain versions for certain OS's will gradually stop working. Its been EOL since Summer 2020 and I think the closest app to legacy is Version 10!

I'm not 100% sure on the process or if its automatic or not. I would get a support ticket in pretty quickly but don't worry if your subscription lapses as all your notes will still be there. Maybe support will advise to let it expire and start a new one.

I think they know about this as I recall it being mentioned a couple of time. Make sure you send in a support ticket. You may not get a fast response but someone else finding this an issue will help push it up the priority list.

Copy a link to your clipboard - select some text in Evernote and then CTRL+SHIFT+V and the text become the link. I use it loads and it speeds up linking a lot.

You can still access all your notes and edit them and export them. Just can't add any more.

I think(?) it locked the note.

Ai Powered Search came out September this year. Not available in the old legacy apps.

I can see the lot in a private window. The forums also appear in the Google results.

Ai search doesn't cost extra. It comes with the paid plans. I can't agree that search sucks. Evernote has always been known for the best search on the market. With OCR, filters and advanced search syntax available you can create some very advanced searches and save them. Enjoy Notion, its not my cup of tea and I believe they do charge extra for Ai.

No. That's not true. You can right click on a notebook and export in different ways. A lot of other apps have import functionality as well.

I don't think there was a lifetime offer. Evernote was just a piece of software that was sold like all software was sold as a standalone product. If the OP had the 2005 version then it was a different product from 2008 onwards. It was stand-alone and synced via USB. There was no cloud sync, no account logins or online anything really. That software wouldn't have been updated since around 2007ish. A bit like using Word 97. Probably still works given OS restrictions.

Check the trash to see if any are in there. Trashed notes count towards the 50.

Yes you can edit existing notes and export them.

There should be a link to cancel subscription near the bottom I think. Not near a pc to check right now though.
