  1. Shane D.'s post in [Fixed in Version 10.12] Stuck on “Introducing Tasks” screen (iOS) was marked as the answer
    Hi all,
As some users have reported, we are seeing reports that some users cannot move past the “Introducing Tasks” screen when they open their Evernote mobile app.
If you have been affected by this issue, we apologize for the trouble it has caused you.
The root cause is likely that the size of your text, combined with the size of your screen, is pushing the “Take a tour” and “Remind me later” buttons (which allow you to move past the introduction page) off the viewable screen.
Our development team is aware of it and working on a fix.
Until the fix is in place, you can get past the “Introducing Tasks” screen by temporarily adjusting your default font size. Here are the steps:
Open the iOS **Settings** app. Go to **Accessibility** and unselect "Larger text."
If that doesn't work, try the following:
Open the iOS **Settings** app. Go to **Display & Brightness > Text Size** and move the dot to the smaller size (slide it to the left). Once you can get past the introduction screen in Evernote, you can return your text size to your desired settings. The introduction screen is only shown once and should not be an issue again.

  17. Shane D.'s post in How to submit a ticket for a Billing/Payment issue was marked as the answer
Hi All,   We often see posts and inquiries from users encountering issues with billing/payment.   In order to receive assistance with these types of issues you must open a support ticket as we cannot assist you with payment, billing, or subscription issues directly in the discussion forums.   The reasons for this are to avoid the dissemination of user's private billing information within the forums, and because making changes to a user’s billing/subscription requires access to administrative tools that are only available to our commerce support team.   To open a support ticket, go here. (You may be prompted to login to your Evernote Account)   From the What can we help you with? dropdown menu, select the Billing and Payments category.   From there, select the categories that most closely matches the type of billing/subscription issue you’re encountering.   Once you have selected the topic, you should see the option to submit a support ticket at the bottom of the page.    The button looks like this:     Once you have submitted the ticket, one of our support agents will reach out to you to further assist you with the issue you’re encountering.   We appreciate your consideration, and thank you for using Evernote!
  18. Shane D.'s post in How to close your Evernote Account was marked as the answer
    Hi All,
Please see this information on how to close your Evernote Account.
First, before you delete your content and close your account, I recommend exporting your notes in the event you would like to have access to them in the future.
Once complete, you can delete all of the content in your Evernote account by moving it to the Trash, then right-clicking the Trash icon in the sidebar and choosing Empty Trash. To protect your privacy, our Customer Support team does not have access to do this on your behalf.
When you're ready to permanently close and delete your Evernote account, follow these steps:
    1. Sign in to your account settings on Evernote Web.
    2. Click Account Status from the left-side navigation menu.
    3. Click the blue Close your Evernote account link.
    4. Follow the prompts to permanently close and delete your account.

  19. Shane D.'s post in Cancel subscription auto renewal (Purchased via Google Play Store) was marked as the answer
    Hi All,
If your Evernote subscription was made through the Google Play Store, you'll need to cancel it through Google Play using the steps found here.
Your subscription won't change until your current billing cycle ends. Once your subscription runs out, your subscription will be cancelled, and your account will automatically be converted to Evernote Basic. None of your data will be lost, and all of your data will still be accessible.
Please consider upvoting this thread or adding a reaction if you found this information helpful.

  24. Shane D.'s post in How to Redeem the Student Discount was marked as the answer
    Hi All,
Follow these steps to redeem the Student Discount offer:
    1. Go to the offer page and create a new Evernote account or sign in to your existing Basic account.
    2. Enter your eligible school email address. You will be sent an email verification.
    3. Click the verification link in the email sent to the address you entered.
Your school email address does not have to be the primary email address on your Evernote account. If you already have an Evernote account using a different email address, you can apply this offer to that account and the only communication we’ll send to your school email address is the verification email.
If your school email address is not eligible, see this article:

  25. Shane D.'s post in Winmail.dat issue (Windows) was marked as the answer
    Hi All,
The "Winmail.dat issue" is an Exchange Server configuration problem. It's an old problem with Outlook/Exchange.

Basically, if your MS mail system thinks the recipient of an email message is another Outlook user, it will encode rich text attachments in a format that is only readable by another Outlook user. Anyone else who receives the email will just see one of these "winmail.dat" files, which is Outlook's internal encodings.
You may be able to fix your Outlook configuration or get your Exchange server operator to do so by following the steps outlined in the links below:
http://juliabensonslaughter.com/general-resources/the-winmail-dat-issue/ http://support.microsoft.com/kb/138053 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2487954/how-to-specify-the-email-message-format-that-s-used-for-external-recipients-to-prevent-winmail.dat-attachments We hope this information helps.
