[Feature Released in Version 10.14] Restore Quick Switcher (CTRL+Q)

erik09

Idea

Evernote, please.

ctrl + q

or quick search does not work anymore.

Having seen the overview (https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209004807-Keyboard-shortcuts-in-Evernote-for-Windows) of updated Keyboard Shortcuts,

to my despair, I saw that ctrl + q is no longer available.

Is it possible for you to once again make it available, used it DAILY to quickly locate notes. It's incredibly useful and makes Evernote the quickest, most intuitive note-taking software out there.

Your note-keeping software is so useful. I'm a big fan. But with this keyboard shortcut being taken out, it makes it more clumsy and less intuitive.

Would greatly appreciate if you can re-enable this function!

And also if you cannot, I'd be really interested in hearing what is stopping you from re-enabling it. The reasoning behind this sudden change.

Best regards,

Erik

In the coming soon section of the release notes - but then it has been for a while! alt-ctrl-F offers similar functionaility but in my opinion needs options. I don't need EN's wild guesses as to where I might want to "go to" next.

Thank you for the response @Mike P

Is there any update from Evernote on this shortcut?

Evernote is doing fine with each update, it's a clean new version,

still longing for the Quick Search / Global Search to come back though.

It's the ultimate navigation tool

Best regards,

Erik

When you continue to use your email address openly as your forum user, you will probably get more "updates" than you wish. Bitcoin offers, ***** toys, slim your waist drinks - you name it. It is called Spam, and posting a mail address here is probably not a good idea.

Change your forum user ASAP.

It is always worth keeping an eye on the "coming soon" section of the release notes. There is a short version in the app (Help -> Release notes) and a fuller version in the forum version of the release notes. It is rare, but not unknown, to get any other feedback on specific issues.
