Rather surprised and disappointed that the nav icon bugs introduced in 6.11.1 is still unresolved in 6.12.

Hope the Evernote Team will fix this asap in the next release, it's really causing inconvenience and annoyance.

If this is happening ONLY in Evernote, then your copy may be corrupted. My recommendation is to follow Evernote's instructions for deleting and reinstalling Evernote from scratch.

I hope that helps! Let me know if I can be of additional assistance.

I don't know if these bugs have been reported before, but I'll post them anyway.

    1. Weird behavior when opening a note in a new window while in full-screen mode (main window is black).

    2. Double arrow next to username when switching to full-screen mode.

I get the double arrow as well.

Hi, I've got a lot of notes in the same "folder" and sometimes I can't find quickly the important note watching the list.

It's true that I am not accustomed to put tag and other text plus the text in the note, so I don't use tags.

What if the note could be tagged with colors too? It can be one color, so all the line of the note in the list (or title) could be colored in that color, or can be more than one color, so in this case a column can display the different colours.

I like this idea — Especially Google Keep's method of coloring the note snippets. If they could be tied into tags somehow, they'd be onto something. Tag something as "important" and suddenly your note is red!

I'd like to see Evernote add the ability to pin a note to the top of the notebook. I often have to dig to look for the note I'm looking for, and it's usually the one that I use the most. Thoughts?

If you set a Reminder for it, it will jump to the top of the list. Will that work?

Is there a way to scan my business cards, add to my contacts, then export that information in a csv or excel doc? I have about 500 business cards to be added to evernote but also need them for Constant Contact. Constant Contact requires a csv or excel document. So frustrated with searching this site for help. So any help would be appreciated!

If you have a ScanSnap scanner (including the Evernote Scanner), the included software will let you do just that :) .

I hope that helps! Let me know if I can be of additional assistance.

My process is to completely delete Evernote from my Mac; app, database ...   The app AppCleaner is recommended for this

I reinstall the app and the database is rebuilt from the servers.  Warning: the rebuild doesn't include Local Notebooks or  unsynced notes

You left out the "make sure you have a copy of the older version, as it isn't guaranteed to be on Evernote's site" B)

Sorry to hear that, we have a couple more fixes coming with the final 6.11.1 release - if possible could I have your ENEX for testing and show Dev?  (or do you wish for the final 6.11.1 build first) - ETA is soon, not sure how soon.

I'll wait — I trashed my local database and re-downloaded it, which seems to have fixed it temporarily.

Problem 1 - Fixing your installation

    My solution steps is

    1. Reboot my device; it solves many problems
    2. Delete the app and reinstall
    3. Delete the app and database, reinstall and let the database be rebuilt from the servers
Warning: The rebuild doesn't include Local Notebooks or unsynced notes
The app AppCleaner does a good job of deleting Evernote and database from your Mac

Problem 2 - Downgrading your software ( it won't allow that)

I'm guesssing you got a message saying your database was converted to the newer version
You can delete the database and have it rebuilt from the servers
Warning: The rebuild doesn't include Local Notebooks or unsynced notes
The app AppCleaner does a good job of deleting Evernote and database from your Mac

@GHain you may have better luck if you follow the official uninstall instructions here:

    Awesome. :(

We are pretty new to Office 365 (just over a year) so our notes are building. We might have hundreds and hundreds by now, but who knows? OneNote doesn't tell you how many you have.

It is also a hassle that every notebook is a separate file, so if you get a new PC, you have to open a few dozen files across multiple SHarepoint sites, vs just logging in to your account and seeing everything. And you can still forget a few notebooks until you need them, but until you do that, obviously you won't get search results in them.

There is a switch in OneNote for Mac that lets you try 'experimental features' — but the opening and closing of the notebooks is positively glacial.

Because OneNote is a hot mess of text boxes and floating graphics that couldn't be exported into a sensible format. I use EN and ON every day - we are an Office 365 shop so OneNote for business stuff.

I die a little inside every time I need to do a search in OneNote. Lack of tags is absurd, and the annotation features are a joke. SOmetimes I'll annotate in Evernote the copy/paste the image back to OneNote.

You can quote me on this:

If you think Evernote is slow, or unresponsive - go ahead and load OneNote up with a few thousand notes and see what happens next.

  11. Howdy, my name is macfixer, and I have a confession: I left Evernote for a while, but then saw how bad it was and wanted to bring my stuff back.

Why is there a Evernote to OneNote converter, but no OneNote to Evernote converter? It seems you're allowing your competitors to eat your lunch but letting people leave but not come back into the fold.

In the meantime, I will be copying and pasting notes one by one back.

(Yes, I know that OneNote and Apple Notes don't have export functions)

Ugh. Can anyone successfully copy and paste a file into this build? CMD-C of a PDF in Finder followed by CMD-CTRL-V is an instant and 100% crash for me. Just happened again. I sent in a crash log with the tag eh20170117 in it if someone from EN can look at crash logs.

Hold up — I didn't see you actually wrote "cmd-ctrl-v" (not sure what that does).

Pasting it that way crashed my Evernote. So, ignore my earlier comment
