  1. For giggles, I wanted to see if Evernote 5 would run on my computer, so I uninstalled everything from Evernote 7 and took a trip back down memory lane. Some thoughts:

    • I can't believe how much I missed the brown notebook icons!
    • Atlas still does not work. I think it's been ripped out on the back end.
    • Market does not work. I wants to be online for some reason.
    • Nor does "Premium".
    • Reminders really pop with their paper background.
    • Lots of neon blue, even though my Mac is set to the Graphite theme.

I don't know how long I'll keep it, but kudos to Evernote for making so much work, even with an ancient version of their client.

Hi, I’ve found an issue this beta version also recent production versions of Evernote.app, which is obviously strange and annoying.

It’s caused by wrong parameter settings on NSScrollView.
I’ve made a patch so it should be really easy to fix it. Patch is available on Github repository.

    Thank you!

Hey Evernote, get @niw a job!

  3. I got the notice that Evernote 7.1 beta 1 was available for Mac. I clicked the button to install it, and when I was prompted for an admin user name and password, I hit cancel (i haven't had my coffee yet) — and it installed anyway!

Which makes me wonder: what exactly does the admin username and password do, if not entering it will install it regardless?

    MacBook Pro 15"
    macOS 10.12.6 (16G1212)

Is this a Sparkle bug? A macOS bug? An Evernote bug?

  4. If "Enable code block" is enabled in Evernote's preferences (it's located under Software Update), then just type 3 backticks (` or the symbol underneath the tilde key ~ ) and a box will form in your note. If you then paste the code into that box, it will preserve the formatting in plain text.

I hope that helps! Let me know if I can be of additional assistance.Code_Block.png.b1accafcffc120ac795010ddde49e50a.png

I'm a student at Uni and regularly import Lecture PDF's into Evernote for organisation. In Powerpoint, on individual slides it is possible to add notes on the bottom of each slide. I was wondering if this was also possible in Evernote, to make written notes on individual pages of a PDF (not annotate it).
