10.39: question inserting an URL
mczin replied to mczin's question in Evernote for Windows Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)
OK! Thank you @agsteele. I think, there is a missunderstanding in how it should work. If I copy a URL from the note itself, as in your case ...cnet.org and then paste it to a highlighted text, it worked as it should. But I thought, or my usecase is, it should work when copying a URL from the browseradress field. That doesn't work. -
10.39: question inserting an URL
mczin replied to mczin's question in Evernote for Windows Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)
I'am on WIN 11 too. On the web it doesn't work either. Thank's for your responses. It is not a very important feature for me, just nice ... and I was not sure how it should work. -
new 10.39 feature: Instead of typing Ctrl + K or Cmd + K or hitting the “insert” button to add links into notes with text, you can now copy a URL, highlight some text, and paste it. How should that work? Like that?: 1. Copy an URL with CRTL+C, like: https://www.google.de/ 2. Highlight some text, like: some text (bold = highlight) 3. Paste URL with CRTL+V gives: some text In my case CRTL+V replaces some text by https://www.google.de

CRTL-Q vs. global search - I am struggeling
mczin replied to mczin's question in Evernote for Windows Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)
Thank you @Mike P. I tried to reset the shortcuts, but I have the same behavoir as before. Many shortcuts are not working for me. May because WIN11 is the problem. But the most important shortcuts are working, like global search. So everything is fine for me. -
CRTL-Q vs. global search - I am struggeling
mczin replied to mczin's question in Evernote for Windows Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)
Thank you @Mike P and @PinkElephant 👍👍. The up and down arrows are working fine for me. Pressing ALT-CRTL-2 gives me this: ² And my shortcut menu does not open with CRTL-/, instead opens with CRTL-#. My shortcuts seemed to be mixed up. -
I am struggeling with shortcuts for "search". My issues: global search: When I use my shortcut for global search, often a notebook is preselected. Which I did not set to be preselected. So, to use global search, I need to use the mouse to deselect the preselected notebook. Often I have to use the mouse addionally to use my shortcut for global search. CRTL-Q: It is not working, when I am working directly in a note (when curser is in note). But that's my usecase for a switch-shortcut: when I wan't to fast switch to another note. So, I need to click in the note-list to be able to use CRTL-Q. I have to use the mouse addionally. In both cases, to use a search-shortcut in Evernote, I need (in allmost all cases) an additional mouse-click. Am I doing something wrong? If not, are you satisfied with this behavoir? How do you search? Any tips? (All over, I am very happy with the new Evernote)

Updated behaviour of search in notebooks
mczin replied to Mike P's question in Evernote for Windows Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)
The smart search is in my opinion a step backwards. It confuses me. Apparently I need an additional click to go from "search in notebook" to "search everywhere"? Is it possible to make "search everywhere" the default? Other thing: I love "strg+q". BUT: Why doesn't it work, if I the editor is activatet? To use strg-q, I need en (extra) click in the notelist.... -
I agree 100%. I have the same issue with text wrapping. Please give us a larger window with a better overview.

CRTL+Q - normal behavior or bug?
mczin replied to mczin's question in Evernote for Windows Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)
Thank you @Mike P. I believed that it is a global short-cut. So it works like it should. But I would like to have CRTL-Q as a global short-cut, because it is so useful. -
I recognized that CRTL+Q is not working if I am typing text in a note (if the note window is activated) To use CRTL+Q I need to click in the not list section, or in the left section (favorits, notbooks, tasks, ...). Is this a bug, or normal behavior? Because as global short-cut, in my understandig, CRTL+Q should work from everywhere.

Agree...would be great to have that. -
Auto-capitalize Bullet Lists
mczin replied to nolan12's question in Evernote for Windows Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)
I agree with @PinkElephant. For me, auto-capitalize for example in Word ist annoying. Because, when I wan't to start with small caps, I have to correct that letter manually. On the other hand it is easy to start with large caps, just press shift... But that's just my point of view, others may see that differently.... -
Color option for notebooks
mczin replied to grumpyg4's question in Evernote for Windows Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)
EN 10 has not the ability to assign different colors to notebooks. Instead, you can put emojies or icons in the name of the notebook. -

Sort by location, and Sort by tags
mczin replied to jamespass42's question in Evernote for Windows Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)
I wonder what is the problem to extend the sort options to tags and other columns like notebooks. Because some sort options already exist. In my thinking it should be easy to extend the sort options, because the code already exist. Or is it more difficult than I think? -
Sort by location, and Sort by tags
mczin replied to jamespass42's question in Evernote for Windows Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)
I wonder if it may be very difficult to give us the feature "sort by tags", "sort by notebooks" .... In my thinking Evernote just needs to copy some code from the already existig sort options to the other columns. Isn't that just copy and paste of some already existing code 🤔? And why didn't Evernote not invent all sort options right from the beginning 🤔? But I am not a programmer, may be it is much more difficult as I think, to implement the missing sort options... I need that function too. Overall, I am happy with ne new Evernote. It becomes better an better. But, I don't use the "Start-Ansicht"... never. I don't have a use for that. -
My Evernote freezes several times a day. It happens after not using Evernot for a longer period. I then need to restart Evernote. Do your Evernote freeze too?
