  1. Thank you, sorry, Macos Sonoma, latest and V10 latest (through website). Well, Legacy and its predecessors don't count? I reinstalled three times since I switched to V10 on this Macbook pro, each time downloading 80GB of data and having to wait several days until ieverything settled. Can't reinstall every week just to keep V10 somewhat happy. Clean reinstall was suggested as well with the new files section, that didn't show anything but a blank page and a high cpu load. The latest update seems to have solved this somewhat, I only have to wait some 10-15 sec. until files show up so I'm happy I didn't wipe V10 again. Can't search inside PDFs though, so 'files' currently is of no use I can think of anyway. Hopefully this will be added soon.
  2. Since one of the last updates editing and viewing notes has become extremely frustrating due to heavy lag while typing, moving the cursor with the keyboard and scrolling. Scrolling is not fluent but very choppy with constant interruptions while content is loaded. Why can't a note be fully buffered in memory? Instead notes seem to be loaded in small chunks only to the extent they are visible. Therefore whenever I scroll down V10 has to load more chunks of the note. I'm on a fast NVME drive and the notes I tested are not overly large. This is still way worse than previous versions were 10 years ago.
  3. I think you have 60 days to request a refund. then they better up their game with a proper tag management. Legacy was bad in that respect but in V10 this is completely lacking.
  4. +1 Identify most disruptive issues and communicate what you're doing. Just sending canned responses and then not reporting back is the worst route. Proper communication would give your customers at least a feeling that they are heard and their issues will be resolved later down the road. The way it is now (and has been for many months) is that everyone is unnecessarily angry and BS are loosing (I assume) many of their clients and judging from the reviews on other platforms probably have a hard time acquiring new ones.
  5. But if you fire a seasoned support team while you're upending the whole product (probably necessarily so) this could have been expected in advance. A year of overlap wouldn't have ruined them and might have prevented lots of frustrated users.
  6. This support situation is going on for 3/4 of a year and started with BS firing all support staff overseas. Maybe this wasn't the best decision? They could have kept the experienced support team overseas until the product is stable enough to handle the support on their own here in Italy... This would have helped with the temporary flooding of support tickets and would have solved the issue of later having too many supporters once the product is out of early beta...
  7. What would be interesting is what 'real' people complain about, not we here in the forum living in sort of a bubble. If BS are flooded for 3/4 of year then something probably is very much amiss with their product which results in numerous support tickets being opened. I dun't support this. 1. I don't know of a forum that made a long list of bugs, shortcomings and lost features to help program management identify necessary steps 2. I constantly hear that it makes no sense complaining here since BS won't read the comments anyway. So why would it then make a difference what we post here at all?
  8. Sorry for that, but keep in mind that V10 was released in late 2020, we now have 2024 (obvious). So we are 4 years into V10 and still we have lots of bugs, annoyances and important features cut from Legacy. In my view V10 was absolutely unusable until autumn last year and for me it still is to a certain extent. All this while no features / corrections were added to Legacy (7.14 Mac was painless for more than four years) thus Legacy users basically paid for note hosting only. From my perspective the frustration and impatience is understandable and well earned. They had four years to fix it and always come up with new bugs, e.g. after the last update to 10.86.2 V10 is lagging so much while typing and especially while scrolling that it is hardly usable (all other apps are fine, cpu max. 15%, mem 35%, Sonoma / latest V10).
  9. I use the same approach with Keep It and Eaglefiler. Eaglefiler is my repository where I have a clone of my Evernote Legacy contents and Keep It is where I start fresh. Very good combination, integration with Finder and Finder Tags, open to other apps (I especially recommend LEAP.APP as a file / PDF / Tag manager on steroids), iCloud sync etc. The more I use it the more I am reluctant to open V10 at all. Will give Obsidian a try again for limited use to get a hold of it and see where that leads me. Thanks @ferol and others for the inspiration in that direction.
  10. well, web clipper showed the green elephant PDF import button, so it must have recognized the PDF and I would expect it to import as PDF or not show the PDF import shortcut. Again this woudln't be an issue if I could edit the extension later-on as was possible before V10 (or even in eariler version of V10, I don't remember that)...
  11. I directly answered to a suggestion of a fellow user here, so no need to point me to forum search... But in general I agree, threads often develop and get more difficult to tell apart...
  12. Thanks, everything standard in shortcuts. basically saying: if it doesn't work, you don't need it ?!? Why would I then use web clipper at all if I have to redo the imports anyway? Point is I can't edit file extensions any more and can't choose which app to open an attachment with, which often was very handy in Legacy.
  13. I'm in IT since 1987, I think I can handle updates and new features just fine. In V10 I hit a roadblock all the time, most of them I would consider bugs and not my inability to appreciate all those new features. I opened tickets for some of them (none of them answered let alone solved btw.).
  14. They should assign all of V10 to the beta test again, IMHO.
  15. good idea, unfortunately more often than not V10 opens the search dialogue when I hit cmd-Z which it is not supposed to do but sigh...
  16. That's not different here and not the issue: attachment with .php extension opens in editor which is the default app for .php. What's wrong is that the PDF was imported with a .php extension instead of a .PDF since it was displayed by a php-script, that I can't change the extension in V10 like I could in Legacy and that I can't chose which app to open the wrongly named attachment with. EDIT: adding ticket #3875870 to my list of unanswered requests... To my workflow this is the most disruptive app I have ever used.
  17. Not being able to edit attachment extensions or 'open with' is becoming a nuisance in V10: PDF displayed on a website via php script -> import into V10 -> PDF attached with wrong extension (.php instead of .pdf). Now I can neither rename the attachment to the correct extension nor open it with anything but the default app (for php). The 'open with' dialogue is also gone. So there is no way to open the PDF with the appropriate app.
  18. Another one: V10 started to create links from certain terms , e.g. words with an .app ending. Whenever I write an app name it creates a link to what it deems appropriate and which I a) don't want it to do and b) makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I have to manually unlink the link every time. How can I make it stop? I don't want it and I didn't set it to do so. Didn't find a setting to switch it off...
