You are buying cheap Macs then. Would do for a rather bare bone Mac Mini after several years. Apple Notes borrows heavily on MacOS features. Nice for Mac users, not usable for cross platform.

And there are several dysfunctions, maybe the largest the inability to export the data in a structure that is easily and correctly imported by other apps.

It's actually available cross platform now via browser. I have a few shared folders with other authors and a few are on Windows machines. They just log in to iCloud via a browser and we share all the time.

Thanks Pink.  I've been playing with JustPressRecord and really like it.  Do you happen to know if there is any way to record on the watch and to have it go directly to EN?  Currently it goes to the JPR app on the iphone which means that I have to remember to go there and then share it to EN.  If the whole point of JPR is to never forget a thought, it seems as if I would still miss them unless I remembered to retrieve them from the phone.

You can use the shortcuts app. There used to be a couple of options for you to try in there but it's been a while since I've used it. Just search the Shorcuts app for Evernote and you should see them.

I recently received a notification from Evernote while using Legacy, informing me about a new version available. With excitement, I proceeded to update my Evernote, only to discover that it had been upgraded to the Standard version, which was not what I desired. In response, I visited the forum to verify if a new version of Legacy had indeed been released, but to my disappointment, there was no such update.

It is important for the support team to understand that many users, including myself, prefer Legacy over the Standard version. The Standard version often promotes the need for a paid account and suffers from sluggish performance. Instead of pushing users towards the Standard version by stating that Legacy is unsupported and not recommended for obvious reasons, it would be more beneficial if they address the issues within the standard version itself.

Going to roll back to Legacy until Standard is improved!

Always make sure to double check release notes. The latest one I got when I opened Legacy had it written at the bottom that updating would update to the latest version of Evernote v10.

Like all stereotypes, it's stupid. Just about every nation and ethnicity has some version of an organized crime syndicate. The Japanese have the Yakuza. The Russians have the Odessa Mafia, among other organizations. During prohibition in the U.S., the Jewish mob was particularly prominent. I could go on and on.

I have friends of many races, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, gender identities, and too many other things to mention. If I can't do the bare minimum by at least speaking up for them, I'm not being much a friend.

I wish you the best in your move to Italy. Moving from one nation to another is a big undertaking.

And law enforcement is never an easy career. I have multiple friends in the field. Is your husband going to be doing that in Italy? I understand being in that job in one country doesn't automatically mean you can do it in another; they all have their own rules and requirements.

In any event, best of luck to you both. At least Evernote is cloud-based, that will be one thing you won't have to worry about when you move. :)

He's looking into medical retirement. SWAT has destroyed his knees and back. If he gets it that would be great. Either way, it's a retirement home. He has family there still and we'd like to see if we can carry on some traditions. I'm an author and web designer so I can do that from anywhere.

I agree that Evernote will be a non issue lol. Well, as far as software goes. Now, using it to shop for houses and all the things I am going to want is an issue that my husband is not looking forward to. ;)

By the way, I don't want to belabor my point but resorting to the stereotype of Italians being organized criminals isn't just crass, it's hateful. I don't expect to persuade anyone who would say such a thing to admit that it's hate speech, or to be willing to change their ways (in fact, I expect the opposite of them). But I feel it needs saying.

One could argue that "hate speech" is too strong a phrase and I'm just being "woke." I would disagree.

And one could argue that it's best to just ignore such things. But I feel people of goodwill need to step up and stand up for our fellow humans.

Bending Spoons saw an opportunity to acquire a product and add it to their portfolio, almost certainly for less money than they could have had the prior owners been able to maximize its potential. They're betting that they can make that investment pay off. That's not a crime. And they sure as hell don't deserve to be smeared for that (to be clear, ethnic slurs are never deserved, though). Whether I choose to remain a customer or not (and for at least the next twelve months, I'll remain a customer), I wish them success.

As someone married to an Italian I hear that all the time. My husband is law enforcement and the amount of times I've heard a comment trying to tie him to the mob and/or corrupt law enforcement just because he's Italian is insane. We are relocating to Italy sooner rather than later and that has only increased the comments. So I thank you for taking a stand.

Seems this company took the Points from us, of course they would not like to give that back. I would suggest to discuss what we shall do as a user, rather than begging that back. Can we sue this company or make a complaint to some authority? We definitely can't let this robbery happen.

I know that this is an old thread but it's simply a matter of contacting support to to claim them as @PinkElephant stated.

I would really like to move my massive amount of notes to Apple Notes.  To do this I understand I need to export using the Legacy application on my Mac.  Can someone please point me to that download.  I am not stopping my use of Evernote at this time but want to try Apple Notes.  I have had a paid Evernote since 2009. TIA

You don’t need legacy. Just export the enex file and import that into Apple notes. I’ve done it myself in the past and what I caution everybody on is you need to double check your notes to make sure the content transferred correctly. Also tags do not transfer.

Success! After only 3 days I have an answer for my pricing, in the US, for reactivating my Teams Account. I’m not sure if I’m revealing a proprietary secret but since I’ve agreed to no NDA I think I can disclose that at least my cost is $14.99 per month each if paid monthly, or 12.50 per month paid annually. This was revealed to me via a Personal Conversation in the Forums. When I deactivated I was paying $12 per User, per month for 4 Seats paid monthly. As I see it that’s a $2.50 monthly price increase. Not a big WoW and I certainly believe it is a good value at that new price.

Sadly, in answer to the upgrade of my Personal account being forbidden, I was referred back to Customer Support where I got the original pathetic non-answer.

I’m at a loss for what all the difficulty & secrecy is about but have no experience in the tech industry so….

The pricing you got for teams hasn’t increased since last price increase. It’s the same from when they did the professional plan introduction. That’s when the price for teams was raised as well.

As for the gift subscription, I am in the same boat. I have 7 1/2 years of gift cards on my account right now. I’m not using them but when I do it’s for the personal plan it’s a different system than what it’s going on now that’s why they can’t convert them.

You tried to uninstall the transferred app yet.

After uninstalling (dump all data when asked) do a forced restart of the iPhone.

    https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/force-restart-iphone-iph8903c3ee6/ios

Then try to install fresh from the AppStore.

I just upgraded to the 14 pro max and had to do this process. What I can add is when you delete do a soft reset instead of just turning it off. (volume up, volume down, press and hold lock button until it goes off and you see the Apple logo). This will clear any linger cache items. Then when it turns back on do a reinstall from the app store.

It seems everything in that place is for sale now, including the sinks. When it sinks in you have less people, you can sink some of them.

Right?! I wanted a Tesla for years and then when we bought my new car I was like WTH is this? The design of that car made me think long and hard about anything Elon has his hands in. Ended up with a Kia Soul.

Thanks for posting. It tells all about capitalism at work in a Tweet: We are thinking permanently about how we can optimize our profits, so prices will go up, eventually, we just don't know (or tell) how much, where and when.

OK, now we are much better informed  😎

But hey, there is a sign of hope: It seems they still have enough money left in the bank to pay for the blue swash on their Twitter account. Gosh, and I was afraid they had everything stashed away at SVB ...

It's one of the legacy ones. I thought you would get a kick out of the wording on Legacy verified accounts. Um, if I find anything sketchy when it comes to be notable it's gonna be people that pay for a checkmark. I worked hard for the one I have on the platforms I have it on. Irritates me to no end for people to be able to buy one.

The „Scan to EN“ does not work with v10.

Use the import folder option of EN to create notes from scans, and use the „Scan to folder“ option to send the scans into ScanSnap Home. Personally I rather prefer ScanSnap Manager, but it works with Home as well.

On Mac it does. I used it this morning. I had to change some settings and I'm not sure what they were as I changed it right when Scansnp Home came out but I've used it to scan direct to Evernote ever since it was released. I have the i1300 scanner if that makes a difference.

Hmmmm - it sounds sort of a contradiction to me to use a different app to annotate, and keep content outside of EN while the annotations may go on. It creates duplication, and keeps documents in 2 different locations - enhanced by the fact that Spotlight search won’t find content in EN. I understand the motivation, it shows what this broken function can provoke.

About Noteshelf: I like that it syncs into EN, but I didn’t like it in general. So I use GoodNotes, and export the notes into EN once I am done. Yes, another duplication …

For my workflow it's not contradictory.Once I'm done annotating something I rarely go back and add to it. I have goodnotes as well but 2023 is the year of me teaching people how to use stock apps so that's why I moved that to Apple Notes.

On a Mac it’s slick for a change, opening the Preview app directly. It has much better annotation features than the „Skitch on a shoestring“ tools they offer natively. After it saves back into the original pdf, inside of the original note.

You have any tool on the iPad that saves back to the original note ? On the iPad I only have apps that will create a new note from the edited pdf.

All my PDFs go into Apple notes first, I annotate as needed. They stay there till I’m done, and then I stick that annotated PDF into Evernote for storage.

Note shelf still syncs with Evernote I think. When I used it a version or two ago, it was great.

Can't replicate - hmmmmm. When I send them a ticket, way back, it was all replicated, talked about and served to the devs. We run EN here at home on different accounts and on several iPads and can replicate the problem 1:1 on all of them. Amazingly zoom while annotating works without any problem on iPhones. It seems the app just believes if the screen is already "big" enough, it can save itself some work and quit zooming.

Another support ticket, maybe ... ?

Yup. Each and every time they can't replicate it. I know others like you have been able to have it replicated. After the third ticket I gave up and started using something more robust for annotation and then put it back in Evernote when I'm done. I refuse to send another ticket. For me, the problem was solved with a different app with more features that syncs to Evernote.

Welcome to the forums. These are user-to-user forums, with no development team members here on a regular basis. The best way to contact them is via a support request if you have a paid subscription (https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new), or via the feedback feature in the apps.

I second reaching out to support of course but prepare to frustrated. Support to date can’t replicate it and all they tell me is to uninstall and reinstall and make sure I’m running the latest version.

    Dear all,

I am considering an upgrade from my current iPad Pro 11 inch (2nd generation) to an iPad Pro 11 inch (with M1 or M2 chip)?

Has anyone experience or does know if EN performance will benefit from such upgrade?

    Cheers,
    Matthias

Upgrade! Full disclosure I have no idea if it will help with Evernote performance but as an Apple girl....... upgrade!

Seriously, if you have the cash I would do it. I would make sure that there aren't any events from Apple in the works though, you know how they are. You'll buy it and two days later a new one will come out.
