Awww, that's a shame. Skitch was awesome.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I'm looking at Cleanshot. If that's not the solution, i'll give Shottr a try.
CheersThe native app for screenshots on the Mac is great.

Not sure if its been mentioned in this thread, not read all of it, but Notion can get expensive!
£7 mth for 30 days of version history... Evernote does better than this plus £7 mth for the Ai stuff.
You can get Evernote Professional for £8.75 a month.
Plus they only charge in USD so for some countires that's gonna be a lot!
It gets tricky when you want to share as well. Guests can be added at no cost but inviting people to your workspace is the monthly cost per person. I learned that the hard way when I tested the app a while back. AI is 10 bucks a month (though it is more comprehensive than EN's current offering).

Previous to the last update, the content used up more of the width of the screen. PDFs could be read without opening them. Now my content is in the middle of the screen with wide swaths of white space on either side. And PDFs can't be viewed without opening them. Is this a bug or a new layout for customers? It seems worse in every way to me, so I hope it's a bug.
PDFs: Click the PDF and then the three dots and select single or multiple pages. that will add the navigation arrows.
Screen width can be changed by going to the app settings and then to notes. Scroll down to the bottom and you'll see these options where you can change the full width or readability mode.

I want to like Evernote, especially after coming up for 10 years of use...
But £8.99 a month to store less than 1gb of notes...? I'd have been happy to pay £1.99 a month, but £8.99!? Bit insulting.
Google Drive offers 15gb for free!
The price increase is a massive mistake on Evernote's part, as I will be exporting all my notes and then deleting them.
This will make returning a hassle, and any chance of regaining lost users is close to zilch. Sorry to see you go.. I mean.. me go.
Just remember that with many free options YOU are the product not the other way around.

I am filing multiple complaints with AG in California and NY. It looks like other customers have complained that the doubling of the price was not sent to them through email or the app. Also, it looks like your customer service can't impede the ability to cancel your subscription.
This is a user to user form. 99.9% of us DO NOT work for Evernote/Bending Spoons. There are some employees here that monitor but that interaction is low and it's not the forums main purpose. We don't have access to employee channels.
The pricing changes were announced end of last year and went out via all social media channels, email, et cetera. There is a good chance that communications went to a spam folder or your email provider never delivered them. (I have had that happen with multiple companies).
Support channels are being restructured so response times are slow.

@Sayre Ambrosio You think their support AI is watching the S.B. as well ?
🤣
If it is, I hope it's cheering for the Chiefs! LOL.

You're not gonna get a response today because any customer service they have in the US has the Super Bowl going on and it's a Sunday so they're closed. The majority of customer service is probably in Italy where the new owners are from. As I type this, it's 6:32 PM on Sunday in Milan, Italy so again customer service is closed. You're throwing a fit over something that is regular business hours no matter what country you're in add in that they're super busy dealing with people and still getting processes in place isn't gonna get you very far.

Heads up on OneNote for Mac and iOS. They are NOT the same as the Windows versions. As you use it if you also use it on Windows you'll find that especially on the desktop version that you will be missing features. It's been a wile so I can't give you super specific details on what is still missing but when I reached out a few years ago to the team they pretty much said too bad so sad get a Windows machine if you want the features. I don't believe there is a clipper for Safari either if you use that.

I want to preface with my Evernote password is 64 characters long, and incredibly random and I have TOTP 2FA enabled. Everything is in a password manager protected with an extremely long, high entropy password and 2FA. Obviously if my account isn't breached, a breach could occur on Evernote's side (I'm not sure if this has ever happened before).
Given this, how does everyone feel about using Evernote's document management capabilities to store sensitive documents-- tax returns, medical information et cetera. Right now I encrypt anything with my SSN on it before adding it to Evernote however that starts to get tedious and also nerfs search. I'm considering just going YOLO 😄 with this type of stuff due to the security practices I follow.
I'm curious how some of the more long term users around here approach this.
I keep mine in there but I also keep two different backups. Just in case. Not because of security but because I want to make sure if EN is ever not around or I have an issue I can still get to them.

Hard to believe they would release an update that may not work for anyone …. Glad it is not the Evernote app.
It may not be BS's release. It may have shipped and be in the works to go out when Apple pushed a beta release that they didn't perceive coming out at the same time. It's happened with other apps I use quite a few times.

I had the same issue I had to uninstall the widgets and then I did a soft reset on my iPhone, which is volume up volume down, push and hold the power button till it cycles. Then I re-added the widgets and they’ve been working fine.

You aren’t the only one. There’s probably an incompatibility with the beta that released to leave yesterday from Apple and the Scannable one. I tried and uninstall and reinstall, which didn’t work so it this point I think you’re gonna have to kinda just wait till one updates again.

Thank !!
I agree that you shouldn’t hijack somebody’s post. In regard to your question if you subscribed through an App Store, you have to take the billing up with that App Store Bending Spoons/Evernote can’t do anything about it if it went through an App Store.

I'm aware of all these options and have exhausted them. If anyone has any number for their offices or staff, that'd be appreciated.
Best,f.
They do not offer phone support, so that is why you and others do not have/can't find the phone numbers. I don't think that they have ever offered direct phone support. At least not as long as I have been using them, even under old ownership.
It's actually a common practice these days not to offer that type of support.
All that to say, nobody here in the forums will have the number to share. I'm sure if they did, they would, but they can't share what they don't have.

Tasks integration* with calendar - NOT reminders.
The Apple calendar integration could work just like the Google calendar one and that would be fine

No, I mean an integration of some sort that talks to Apple calendar and Apple reminders, which is the task manager for Apple.
it’s kind of a given that tasks would sync with the Reminders app in some way, shape or form whether that be if I set a reminder in the Evernote note and it shows up in Reminders or it pulls it from Apple reminders and shows in Evernote. I don't care how it's done I would just like him to talk to each other.

I would kill for an apple calendar and reminders integration.

I'm loving the new UI. I'm a minimal girl and was pleased to see it. I might be in the minority but it made a rough morning kind of fun checking it out.

The only remaining issue seems to be on the authentication side.
If you're not logged in, I suggest you don't sign out until we fix it. But if you're signed out you are not locked out, it should be enough to try logging in again once or twice.
Husband just tried to log in and can't. Approximately 5 minutes ago and it's 12:05 PM Mountain Standard Time as I type this.

Definitely the https://status.evernote.com page needs to be updated as soon as you know there is outage
The status page needs to be off Tumblr and either put somewhere in these forums or on the Evernote website. I don’t know whoever thought it was an intelligent decision to put it on Tumblr, but it looks unprofessional. It’s been there as long as I can remember and might even have always been there, but come on, anyone that knows Tumblr knows what it’s purpose is well was up until the last few years

1. Experts should’ve been looped in on this update/migration. When you guys don’t communicate, people come to experts and when we don’t know what’s going on, it makes us look stupid, but yet we’re supposed to be a partner face of the product, of the company.
2. A general email always needs to go out to the entire user base. As a user, I have medical appointments today that I generally have notes for in Evernote. Questions that I needed to ask these new doctors. Symptom tracking that I needed to share with these new doctors. Stuff that I have been putting in Evernote since 2009 with no issue. Evernote has always been my second brain, even when I was pissed off at the developments, or lack of. Even when I tried other products. Now more than ever I need it to be just that. Just so we’re clear I know that any software on any platform can get hacked, can have downtime, can glitch. Those things I don’t put on the company because it’s out of their control most of the time but something like a planned migration, that’s completely different.
I’m usually not super public about criticizing the company because I do love it and honestly get more info than most about what’s going on, but this non-communication issue, it’s not even about the outage at this point, communication sucks and you guys need to fix it

You can access your account, like with other Apple apps. I'm familiar with the possibility.
It's a pale shadow of the app running natively on a Mac or iOS. No comparison with the EN web client, that is a nearly complete twin of the desktop clients.
I agree with ya there. I'm a native app girl, but there is a possibility for sure.

How to import from apple notes ?
in Evernote Integrations
Posted
The exporter mentioned is going to be your best bet for getting them out of Apple Notes since Apple doesn't play nice when exporting. I have the exporter and I export in html and then import back into Evernote.
