033 - Sort Notes by Size

Problem Description

• You can configure a note list to show note Sizes (OK)
• But the list cannot be sorted upwards or downwords - WHY?
  • 
  • Even if we do not pay for storage on EN servers,
    • we pay for time for transfers - so it might be a good idea to save storage 😉
    • Some users might pay for storage on there own maschines (mobiles...).
    • Or whilst searching for "I'm sure there was a long discussion, huge attachment, ..."...
  • It's so easy to develop it in modern UI design environments like Electron 😞

Expected behaviour

• Clicking on column "Size" should sort the list by note sizes including attachments

• None
• BTW: Best case would be to have no such additional tabs - and show/sort all metadata in one note list...

I'm not saying it's "hard" to do but do realize that when an application developer uses "native" APIs you get things like column sorting for "free." In Electron it has to be implemented manually. I do hope they add it, however. I would like to be able to sort by size.

Can you explain why this would be useful ?

We don’t pay for storage, only the upload is counted. When a note appears in the list (and could be sorted), the upload has already happened.

The classical „I want to reduce storage size“ doesn’t really apply.
