mgkarate 0
Web Clipper is "greyed out" after I updated on an M1 MBAir to Sonoma. It is also similarly greyed out on the last version of Intel MBPro. What gives??? Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 12,075 Posted October 4, 2023 Level 5* Share Posted October 4, 2023 Hi. Which browser? Have you tried removing and reinstalling? Link to comment
MarkyM 0
I am having the same issue across multiple computers and browsers after upgrading to Sonoma. Whether in Chrome or Safari, the web-clipper no longer works. I click on it and nothing happens. Removing and reinstalling has no effect. Link to comment

Uninstalling the Evernote Web Clipper Application and then going to the App Store to download and reinstall made things work again. Link to comment
bmcl26 579
No Idea what Sonoma is. Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,838 Posted October 5, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted October 5, 2023 Apple named his last MacOS Versions after Californian landscapes. Sonoma is the latest MacOS 14. If you travel from Catalina to High Sierra, you may pass Sonoma, although you could go through Mojave as well. And all that to see a Mountain Lion or a Snow Leopard, before you go to Big Sur for a sundowner. 😵💫 Link to comment
bmcl26 579
Thanks @PinkElephant I now understand why I have never heard of it, I binned the Apple Eco System several years ago when I had a disastrous experience for a short period with an iPhone, think it was a 4 o 4S or something like that. timben 0
I have the same issue. On Safari after reinstalling "clipper" and rebooting Safari 17.0, it's still grayed out. I also followed the same process on Chrome with the same results. Link to comment
Evernote Expert agsteele 3,061 Posted October 5, 2023 Evernote Expert Share Posted October 5, 2023 This relates to the continuing authentication issue. Keep trying and eventually the Web Clipper will reconnect. It just took me four tries. Link to comment
mgkarate 0
I've now tried at least a half dozen times on 2 different days to use the Web Clippers. I've uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times. Both browser Web Clippers have the blue dot (as I understand it) that shows Evernote isn't connected. Did the new Mac OS introduce some new authentication requirements that we can turn off? The affected browsers are Safari and Chrome on a Mac. Sorry for missing some important details. Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,838 Posted October 5, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted October 5, 2023 The blue dot usually stands for an app that received an update. Link to comment
