flaneige 13
Is there a way to know which notes are linked to a specific note ? Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 10,328 Posted April 29, 2022 Level 5* Share Posted April 29, 2022 Hi. No easy way as far as I'm aware. A link from note A to note B will necessarily have some of note A's title or UID as part of the content - so you could presumably track down any possibles with searches; but that would be a note-by-note method and somewhat impractical for more than a few. The best you can do is search for the title of the specific note (search string between " " ). This will return the list of all notes that contain a link to that specific note (assuming you haven't changed the title afterwards). Link to comment
Boot17 867
These linked notes are also called "backlinks" and you can view a lot of forum discussions on them by searching for that term: https://discussion.evernote.com/search/?q=backlinks&quick=1 It's been a pretty frequently requested feature. Level 5 PinkElephant 6,211 Posted April 30, 2022 Level 5 Share Posted April 30, 2022 The title does not play any role when linking. Each note is identified by a unique identifier. It is unique even in case in the same notebook would be 2 notes with exactly the same title. The link works even if the title is changed. EN is different to a normal file system, where changing a files name creates a new entity for the OS. Link to comment

Unfortunately, you can't search for the url underneath... 1 Link to comment
