No, I don't think so. They might be asking more because it could be that you are experiencing that issue because you have exceeded the device limit of 2 for the free accounts. Sometimes (often?), there isn't good error messaging that that is the reason things aren't working -- because the device limit has been exceeded.

You can go to your account info and see which devices it thinks you are using:

No. They won't delete anything.

Check the trash can and also check you're logged in with the correct account. When you're logged into the web then check your name at the top left and see if the login is correct.

The most likely reason is you have exceeded your device limit (see above).

The other possibility is that you misspelled your user name. This leads (too easily) to the creation of a new, empty account.

So retry, making sure there are no typos. If it won’t let you in, check the devices count.

And Free or subscriber, unless you actively erase your account, your data is safe.
