Nojus A 0
Hello to anyone reading this, I encountered this issue recently, let me explain the context: Usually, in my workplace, I use two extra monitors. I use a laptop, and I connect the extra monitors to it. Evernote is dragged to the extra monitor on the right, and everything's fine when I'm at the office. However, when I need to access Evernote at home, on the same computer, I don't have the extra monitors - I only have the laptop. There comes the problem - when I open up the Evernote Desktop App, it goes off to the place where the extra monitor would usually be! When I run it, the animation shows that it goes off to the right, beneath the edge of my laptop screen, to the right. Other apps don't do this - for example, when I open up our work communication app, Slack, which is usually on the right monitor as well, it appears on the laptop's screen, and doesn't find any phantom laptop to friggin' teleport off to! Luckily, I can use the Evernote Web app temporarily, but this has caused inconveniences for me, and it will cause even more inconveniences if I decide to work from home in the future. I'd be grateful if you patched it up in the next update or something, even though I'll only be able to update the app at the office, as I can't open it at home. I've attached a screenshot more or less showing what happens - I caught the app mid-starting animation. Let me know what can be done in this case! 🙏 Nojus Link to comment

This is a Windows issue, not an Evernote bug. When Evernote is opened, click on the taskbar icon to select that "phantom" window and use the Windows key plus right or left arrow to move the window back onto your current screen. Once you file > exit Evernote on this screen, it will pop up in the right place next time. 1 Link to comment

dbvirago 535
Or click on Display Settings and change it from Extend to either Show only 1 or Duplicate. Or drag it back over before you leave the office. 1 Link to comment
Evernote Expert agsteele 3,059 Posted August 28, 2021 Evernote Expert Share Posted August 28, 2021 I have a similar work pattern. I find that I need to compltly shutdown my PC when moving between the office (two monitors) and working from home (just the laptop screen). Definitely a Windows thing. Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,771 Posted August 29, 2021 Level 5 Share Posted August 29, 2021 Definitely a Windows thing … on my Mac, everything moves to the MacBooks screen when I disconnect the monitor, and spreads out again when I reconnect. 1 Link to comment
NojusCiao 2
Yep, was a Windows thing - Win+Arrow Key worked like a charm! Thanks everyone! ☺️ 1 Link to comment
