  1. Hi, I would like to share my feedback here, because the "Feedback" button disappeared from the Web version 6.15.0.

The buttons to expand/collapse Stacks, which are in form of tiny triangles left to Stack name are just to small/narrow. It's not a good UX design.

On a touch screen is not easy to point them. Usually I enter a Stack instead of to expand/collapse it.

I would like to suggest to:

    1. Make a symbol to expand/collapse stacks bigger - easy to see and touch/click

    2. Have an option to set all Stacks to be always expanded by default - currently I need to repeatedly expand Stacks each time I enter EvN web-page

    TIA

I can (unfortunately) confirm, that linking issues exist also in the newest 6.14 version...

In newest v. 6.15 I still have issues with internal links created with the old Win editor. New links created with preview/beta (since v. 6.12 if I remember correctly) are working properly.

Nevertheless, in old classic Win editor both old and new internal link works perfectly...

Thanks for the reply. I realized that afterwards and then I also opend a bug report with Evernote support.

The bug is tricky because it seems to appear the first time I click to a note. Then, the link jumps to the first note in the notebook (I think the new Web version (I refer to V6.13.0) made the change to show only the notes of the current notebook. In the "old" Web client, always all notes were shown.). The second time I click on the same note link, it still jumps to the first note of the notebook but then immediately the page reloads and the correct note is displayed.

Hi, I have also just noticed something similar.

It's pretty random, some internal links work sometimes,  some other not.

One thing: internal links created with a newest beta editor probably always works properly. Problems usually happen with the links created with a old/classic editor.

The new in beta universal editor I suppose with the more generic font sizing....

Yes, with the new Beta editor you can select a text and reset the font size to default, as on the image below

There is also a "hack" with the old editor.

Export note to the disk -> open it source with an advanced code-editor (e.g. Notepad++) -> remove (replace with a blank space) HTML font size property like "font-size: 10pt;" then save and import the note back to classic Evernote.. 😉

  5. I'm used to format text for better readability with text alignment = "Justify" - it is available in old Windows app, but still not in Web (or Windows) beta.

When can I expect this feature to arrive?

I would love to have it ASAP 😉

I notice that the beta web client changed from 6.6 to 6.7 on Chrome. But unlike most betas I have used over the years, there is no announcement, no list of changes.. It seems like the web beta isn't really being treated like a real beta release. Users seem to have little insight into how things are going with the "new" Evernote, what features are there and what aren't.

Yep, it's crucial to know what's new and therefore what should be (re)tested by beta users.

Thanks, @Kolmir. But the "previous version" is the much earlier, pre-"Classic" version. Selecting it pops up a dialog with the message "You are now opted out from the redesigned Evernote website," and asking for feedback. In Opera, if I click the account button at top left with my name, I also get the option to switch to the "previous version." But there's also a black button at bottom right that says, "Feedback" (it used to say, "Beta"). When you click it, you get the popup shown below. Just surprised at the difference between FF and Opera on this point, in the same version of the Web editor.

OK. A bit strange. In my Chrome (EvN 6.7.0) I have similar FEEDBACK button with the same menu as on your picture.

In FF (5.30.0) there is no button in the bottom right corner. Only status bar, which says "All changes saved".

Well ... I just checked in Opera (after a recent reboot of the machine), and I've got v. 6.7.0! And yes, in the note list I do see thumbnails of graphics and docs next to notes that have them. Also, the button bottom right no longer says Beta, but Feedback. Clicking it you can go back to the Classic version, as before; but they ask politely for feedback if you do.

In Firefox it's still 5.3, but hopefully that will change. Curiously, in FF I don't see any button at bottom right at all--no way to change back to the Classic editor.

Yep, I see 6.7.0 in my Chrome too!

Regarding reverting back in FF, see below

    Hi

Can someone please tell me if the Firefox web client is still being maintained / updated. I've spent more than an hour searching but  I cannot find any information on this. The client version on Firefox is 5.29.0. The version on Chrome is 6.6.0. One obvious difference between the two is that in Chrome you see a thumbnail next to a note, but not in Firefox.

    Thank you

As I see, FF Web client has been just updated to 5.30. So you don't need to worry if is still being maintained 😉

Still waiting on a fix! ❤️ Anyone have workarounds in the meantime?

Unfortunately not. It's risky to mess with the scripts behind editor.

As a dirty trick you can use Chrome browser instead of FF.

(In Chrome you can access the newest version 6.5.0 of EvN web editor. In FF only the older one version = 5.28 is available)

oh, strange. Which browser are you using and what version? maybe evernote only sends 6.4.1 to certain browsers. i'm on chromeos running v. 80.

On a slightly different subject, my Ubuntu laptop stopped updating Chrome back at v. 69 (a signing key had expired) and evernote stopped working on it a couple of days ago because it required new features that were released somewhere after v. 69. Now i've installed new signing keys and evernote 6.4.1 is running fine on it too.

At some stage in the past i signed on to the evernote beta program. Maybe that had an effect too? Here's a link (unfortunately in German: https://evernote.com/intl/de/betaprogram)

Hi, thank you for the hints!

I have verified, that I can use web version 6.5.0 with Chrome (macOS), but not with Safari or FF (Win) - still only v. 5.28 available. A bit strange...

Moreover, I signed to Beta program too.

The nested tags I'm running on web v6.4.1 are brilliant. The display of content is brilliant too and you can filter for reminders now. If the iOS clients work like this I'll be a happy customer.

I'm stuck with Evernote Web v5.28.0. How can I get to web v6.4.1 version?? Any ideas guys?

I want to update this topic: here is where the buggy behavior happens:

    1. I want to move the note (whether existing or new) to a different notebook.
    2. Instinctively, through many years of using Evernote, I tap on the Notebook icon right at the top of the editor window.
    3. Oops. That's no longer the way to move a note.
    4. We now have to tap the 3 vertical dots
    5. Then tap "Move to" and select the notebook to which we are moving the note.
    6. BOOM! Note totally disappears
    7. Evernote cleverly opens some (apparently) random other note.

That's definitely a bug, Houston. Definitely a bug!

    Please fix it!

    Thank you!

    Mark

Hi, I also can't reproduce such error. Moving notes between notebooks works fine for me in Web Beta (under FF).

Which browser do you use? Do you use any browser extension (ad/cookies/scripts blocker), which may cause this?

  14. Hi, thank you guys for verification!

Yep, it only happens in FF. No problems with Chrome@MacBook.

@Dave-in-Decatur Good idea, thanks. I have just reported this issue to support too.

    EDIT

I also noticed some problems with using of Arrow keys to move cursor in Web Notes - only at FF.

  15. hi,

Recently, I noticed a strange behavior.

When I move my mouse up/down over a note it scrolls up/down. This is good for reading, but horrible for editing - e.g. I want to move mouse towards toolbar to edit something, but at the same time note scrolls up and I loose context...

I use the newest FF and Windows. This problem occurs only in Web Evernote. No problem with/inside Google docs or Office365 online.

    Any ideas?

  16. Hi,

I have also provided a comprehensive description of the issue on the very detailed technical level to Evernote Premium support.

Moreover, I also provided a few suggestions about how to solve the problem or at least have a workaround.

Unfortunately, they do nothing. It's a pity! I'm thinking to cancel my subscription and migrate to MS OneNote.

  17. It's because different (erroneous?) interpretation of the default font size in each client/app/OS.

Some notes or lines written in Segoe UI size 10 (default font) in EV Windows are sometimes interpreted as Helvetica Neue 13 or 14 on macOS EV or iOS app. It looks like notes written few months ago assume that Segoe UI 10 = Helvetica Neue 13, but currently for EverNote mac/iOS editor Segoe UI 10 = Helvetica Neue 14.

Therefore, if you update old note with the new text it's mixed size - Helv.N. 13 for old text and Helv.N 14 for the new text.

Moreover, problems continue - if you format something on mac/iOS as Helv.N 14 it's sometime interpreted on Windows as Segoe UI size 11, not 10. However, if you format something explicitly on Win client as Segoe 10 it shows as Helv.N13, but new text is still interpreted as Hel.N 14 - very weird!

BTW: I have the newest version of EV on each platform.
