Fonts now WAY too small in IOS

Totally agree. 16 point being large-ish is a totally relative idea in the digital world. But it is one we buy into. We don't expect 16 point to be way too small. -
Anyone Else Thinking of Switching?

Agree with gazumped. They listen. They don't lead. That never leads to great software. -
I'm sure Ian Small is a nice guy, but I never sense a clear long-term vision beyond the obvious and a few slogans and ad hoc adjustments.

Exactly.

It's simple. There have always been 2 tiers. They should offer this new version as the totally free one. And the Legacy version as the one we pay for. And in present circumstances, I think we'd even accept a hefty price hike.

Why are very few people here talking about OneNote?
-
Evernote are terrible communicators. Instead of saying "you will be able to use Version 7 for the immediate short term", they should say: "until Version 10 is truly ironed out, in the opinion of our users". They are leaving paying users with a feeling of insecurity about their data -- which is the opposite of what Evernote was set up to do.

I wish Apple would just buy Evernote.

People are not aware of this as an acknowledged, parallel, official Evernote product which will go on being supported for as long as is necessary. That's what it needs to be.

The body of commentary against new the Evernote for Mac and IOS (never mind Windows and Android) has to be taken seriously. Are you doing that? It is not OK to respond to this or that technical fix as if everything else is fine or to treat paying users as if they don't matter. You need to reclaim 7.14. That means acknowledging it as an equal alternative to 10 for those users who depend on it. Re-take ownership. Don't bury it in a discussion group as a link for a few people to follow so that they can run it in parallel with 10. You need to spell out, to your paying customers: "We are undertaking a major revision of Evernote in order to make innovation easier and faster and to create greater compatibility across the platforms served by the world's greatest information and workflow mangement app. We recognise that, for a period, some users will depend on features and workflows only available in previous versions. "Therefore, for a minimum of 3 years, Evernote Classic 7.14 and New Evernote 10.x will be available in parallel." There will be nothing ignominious in doing that. This is a major transition: it is absurd to rush it as you appear to be doing. Did some people financing you tell you: we need to get this done before the end of 2020? If they did, they are in danger of losing their money.

Evernote need to launch an Evernote Classic (the old version) and Evernote Whatever (the disastrous new version) and wait a few years for users to make the switch. That's what other companies do. Isn't it strange that Apple can launch a new OS and basically everybody loves it (yes, I know there are Big Sur downloading issues) and also knows what the point of all the changes was. Does Evernote think that its challenges are more complicated?

This has probably been said before, but a) When I try to copy a pdf from Acrobat into an Evernote notebook, I now have to name it (it doesn't recognise the name of the file), and b) it doesn't appear, or doesn't synch. This is PATHETIC at this point. I don't think anyone working at Evernote actually uses it or they could not possibly have released an update quite as defective as this.

Plus most of the guys who do reviews don’t notice any of these bugs. They just rehash the press releases. -
Anyone Else Thinking of Switching?

That's very true. It's why these things get through the net. 95% don't complain. Their demands are practically zero, and they don't notice anything. -

Some missing images (and possibly pdfs). They are listed, but are inaccessible. Other people have posted screenshots. I can still access them via the Mac client. -

I don't understand what you don't understand. The issues people report are specific and real. I have lost images. There are other bugs. I know the ins and outs of Evernote: I have been a paying user since 2013. I'm glad they aren't affecting you. -
How to go back to Legacy Version

These are not matters for “Support”. They are matters for the developers! Are they reading this? -

But how long will Devonthink be there, and will you be able to leave it? I hope EN recovers. -

Don’t the developers read these columns? If they don’t, that tells you something about the problems at Evernote.
