  1. What do you mean by "how you talk to them"? You need to research a language that will trick the AI bot into not putting you into the junk pile? I am a Pro user. I think I deserve more than that.
  2. As a top tier paying member, I am getting only formula replies and absolutely no promise of anything more. I have no evidence that anyone has even read my messages.
  3. I have my doubts. There are bugs which they never address and show no sign of even being aware of. But let's hope.
  4. Even when you have spelled out exactly what OS you are on, and what version(s) of Evernote you are using, Support send an email asking you to check a whole bunch of stuff that you have told them you already checked. In the next stage, they send long, turgid answers consisting of, first, a totally unnecessary summary of what they understand you have just asked, and, second, an infuriatingly bland, largely pre-written response that most of the time misses what you are actually asking about! After several rounds like this, just possibly you will engage with someone who engages with the question. This kind of treatment is insulting to customers who are paying a lot of money and expect a minimum of attention in return. Stop wasting our time!
  5. And there ARE parallels! An early trailblazer that had lost its way. Both Apple and Evernote reached that point. Both had extremely loyal customer bases. One rose to the challenge. And the other? A lesser challenge, but the jury is still out!
  6. If you don't seem to believe in yourself much, people won't believe in you.
  7. But saying how great you are is also part of the magic. I'm not hearing it much. I'm hearing lots of incremental, half-apologetic assurances.
  8. It was good to see some interviews with Federico Simionato on YouTube recently. He explains how some problems are being resolved, how others will take a bit more time, how on the whole things are getting better, etc. What I don't hear him saying is that Evernote is fantastic and a far better platform than the others which the Evernote whiners constantly threaten to migrate to. Evernote needs a far stronger communications strategy! If its existing users aren't convinced it will be around for long, how can it expect to attract new ones? A bit more enthusiasm and Steve Jobsian reality-distortion is needed. And it's true: I have experimented with all Evernote's competitors and I don't like any of them. Plus migration works really badly even if you try it. I say this despite persistent bugs which Evernote never addresses and appears not even to be aware of. David Derrick
  9. I don’t think this is ever going to happen, to be honest.
  10. Don’t understand. This should have absolutely nothing to do with note size. It happens, by the way, no matter whether one is using the app or a browser.
  11. But I'm talking about all kinds of first world public spaces. If Bending Spoon engineers are not aware of this problem, then they need to start living in the real world.
  12. Well, it happpens on a pretty normal wifi connection, with no VPN. Admittedly in hotels in my case recently, but they have been OK connections otherwise.
  13. It's actually pretty irritating to have this constantly popping up on one's screen!
  14. I’m not sure it was smart to announce a major price increase while syncing is still such a mess.
  15. Still happening for me in multiple (not all) notes on Mac, and in both web and client versions.
  16. Here are some simple truths. a) There has been a very lazy online industry for years of Evernote-bashing. You can ignore nearly all of it. b) It is good to see this community largely optimistic about this acquisition. c) I have tried alternatives. They are usually appalling, and I don't understand the praise they get. d) Yes, Evernote has incomprehensible bugs and anomalies. But so do all the others. e) If Evernote is too expensive for you, move. Serious users don't usually mind. But yes, I hope Spoons will get the pricing right. f) I hope Spoons are reading this thread, but I'm not counting on that. I doubt Evernote is. g) Migrating is basically impossible anyway. There is not one migration route that doesn't lead to unacceptable compromises and bring unfixable formatting bugs with it. Tell me if I am wrong.
  17. Evernote has over 400 employees, dealing with, as far as I know, one product. Bending Spoons has 175 employees dealing with a whole suite of products, and with no experience of data management. Are they going to be able to give EN the attention it needs? Shouldn't we worry?
  18. It's about basic typographic literacy. Yes, that's important even in a note. And many people use Evernote for more than just notes. Also, the whole point about the new Evernote was that it should operate in a similar way across all platforms.
