ae6dx 2
Is there a way to have Evernote title the note based on the file name of the file attached to the note? Link to comment
Level 5* CalS 5,280 Posted April 4, 2016 Level 5* Share Posted April 4, 2016 If you add the attachment by itself the note tille will become the attachment name. If the attachment is added to a note or emailed into EN, it will not become the title of the note. Link to comment
ae6dx 2
I'm not sure exactly what you mean by add it by itself. I thought I had to create a new note and then add an attachment to it. Link to comment
Level 5* CalS 5,280 Posted April 4, 2016 Level 5* Share Posted April 4, 2016 You can drag the attachment onto a notebook and create a note that way. Link to comment

Dragging a file into a blank Note will attach it to the note, but will not automatically title the Note. I hope that helps. Link to comment

You can also use an AppleScript Import Folder script that will create a new Note, attach the file, and give the EN Note Title the name of the file. It can also set the Note Created Date to the file created date. See Evernote Mac Import Folder Using AppleScript from Veritrope.com Link to comment
