"tauchanote" can't be found

Recommended Posts

I heard about "Touchanote" on their website but the link they provide to the  app store, where I was supposed to find it, delivered "not found".  I went to the app store aon my phone and it didn't turn up that way either

I went to youtube and watched a video on how to share an EN note to an NFC tag.  There was an EN context menu involved in the process but my galaxy S6 doesn't have a hard Context menu option.  As issue I've faced a couple of time since I got the phone.

I don't get it, all this chatter, is it eatherware>

I use tapmynote daily. Have Samsung Galaxy S4.

But since its gone on Google Play it's a little harder to get.

You have to google tapmynote and find a site where you can download it.

Hi.  Touchanote seems to be called http://tapmynote.com/ now,  and is an Android app,  not iOS as yet.  Can't comment on the S6 and NFC tags,  but if they're not easy to find and use,  I'd be wary of building any sort of system based on them.

Yes, that's the site I went to but the "get it" link they provided turned up "not found". This is all very *****!  Why would the developer's site hype a product; and provide a lint to the play Store where it isn't available?  It's maddening!  I will do a Google search and see what I come up with.

maybe if I spell it this way: "cueer". Seriously!?  Is this some sort of "naughty word" filter, like the bleeps on TV?  It's not even a "naughty word".  Actually the English use it much more often than Americans, and don't seem to have a problem with it..

That word is often considered a slur against the ***** community. There are other acceptable words that get "bleeped" out since the filter can't determine the context used. IE. I think these words get bleeped: c-r-a-p, s-c-r-e-w. It's certainly easy enough to edit your post to use a different word.

Well, as you can see, my use of the word g-a-y got bleeped out...

The filter many forum use cover the most common bad word in one language.

Just trying  djälva dårar (alternative jävla dårar)

on minutes later.

Yes no ****** there

Still no luck!  I did a Google search and it just keeps turning up their web page.

These guys have a Facebook page (which I see you found already) and a Twitter page,  but AFAICS there's been no action on either since 2012.  Can't see any email addresses you might contact - sadly it looks like they're out of business for the time being at least.

Pretty ridiculous if you ask me. Are we children!?  Today the F word is so common it has become useless as a swear word; few people give it a second thought when it is used.  PC has gotten out of control!

This do have a Facebook link that I was able to accessed.  I posted a note there but not sure how I will know if they responded, since I don't go there very often.

Tested and the installation worked fine. On the tablet with no NFC-support... ;)

You should get an email if you receive any response,  but I wouldn't hold your breath.

On your other point - if it's any consolation - the email notifications I get that there's a new post here include the 'bad' words in full  It's only when the post is displayed in the forums that Nanny McPhee comes out to play...

Are we children? This is the internet where anyone can be here and anyone can pose as someone they are not. I have seen some pretty nasty posts by supposed adults. I agree that PC has gotten out of control and yes, the F word is very common. That doesn't mean a board owner must allow it or allow potentially offensive words. As users of this board, we should respect that.

I get it. But this is the most up tight board I've been on when it comes to monitoring language. I agree, there are a lot of "trolls" out there, but why not just weed them out instead of blocking every possible iteration of "bad" words, to the point of being quite ridiculous.

Thanks for that link but I think I'd better wait until whatever reason it was removed from the play store gets resolved and it is returned.

It's sad because it's a really good app.

Secure - only a shortcut to the note is stored on the tag. And the EN-account how created is the only one how can open.

I have one with my long and personally very private ICE (with my locker-pattern on on side, I have an ICE-app on my phone too)

my todo-list (on a stickers beside my computer)

my shopping-list (was thinking about put it in my store... :P )

and 4 more

Well, I took the plunge and downloaded and installed the APK file.  Trouble is, when I select a note and choose "Share", I only have the option to share the note with individuals in my contact list - not an option to "share" it with TapANote/TouchANote.  Can anyone work out what I might be doing wrong?

Hi - is this still working for you? When I click share, all I get is the stupid "work chat" share thing... I don't get the option of sharing to any apps, just e-mails/contacts.

Is it still working for you guys?

It works fine.

Can't you find "post a link"?

It doesn't work if you try to use "Share" in an open note. The note needs to be closed; long-press the relevant note in the list of notes (notebook list, ideally); click "Share", then "Post a link"; one of the options should be "TouchANote", which is what you want.

Hope this helps!
