Level 5* GrumpyMonkey 4,319 Posted December 27, 2011 Level 5* Share Posted December 27, 2011 i think that all apps follow the language setting in the global preferences (settings), unless you download a different language version of an app. Link to comment
josephqt 0
Need help with this too. My system preferences are already set to U.S. English but Evernote keeps correcting U.S. spelling with British spelling (standardized becomes standardised) which can be annoying as it adds at least another layer of editing and proofreading especially if you need to comply with strict language requirements that demand U.S. spelling. sinman 3
Bumping this.I would like to change the lang to EN, so that I can take screenshots and send it to support when there's a bug. Link to comment
KJ-L 0
No fix for this? I do my notes in Norwegian, and while I wouldn't demand a Norwegian spell check in Evernote (there are very few of us), it'd be great to be relieved of the hassle of editing the language setting every time I copy-paste from Evernote into Word. Level 5 Adjusting 276 Posted March 29, 2013 Level 5 Share Posted March 29, 2013 To change the language Evernote runs in, you do indeed have to change your system wide language setting: - Launch System Preferences- Select Language and Text- Click on the Language tab- Drag your language of choice to the top of the list The spell checking language is changed independently of the UI language:- Launch System Preferences- Select Languages and Text- Click on the Text tab- Select your language of choice from the Spelling pop-up Link to comment

Mike in Hamburg 0
Hi, using Evernote comes up and is set up for English, but because I'm in Germany, all of the web data (buy this Scanner, buy this backpack, etc) is in German. Can this e changed? Link to comment

Junebugsm 0
I have the same problem. My Mac language is already set to US English and so is every other setting I could possibly find but still, Evernote will keep changing my spellings to UK spellings and it's really driving me nuts. Is there any way to fix this? Please help, thanks. Link to comment

Smexhy 0
It's shame we can't change language from the app settings like on Windows. I need to have my computer in Slovak, but need the app language to be in Czech, as these are two almost tottaly same languages. Link to comment
