gbarry 2,659 Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 European users! We have a European T-Shirt design contest. Check it out here:http://eu-contest.evernote.com/
Level 5* Metrodon 2,188 Posted October 14, 2011 Level 5* Posted October 14, 2011 Love that it is a European contest with a prize in US dollars - more of you lot should get passports and broaden the mind a little....
Phil Dean 150 Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 You should enter Metrodon. I think being paid in US dollars is favorable to the Europeans due to the current exchange rate. I do have my passport and off to blighty next June
gbarry 2,659 Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 "Blighty" sounds like such a magical place.
Level 5* Metrodon 2,188 Posted October 14, 2011 Level 5* Posted October 14, 2011 I can't draw for toffee, you'd end up with an elephant that looks like it has been in a particularly nasty car crash.I spend a couple of months a year on your side of the pond so the cash would be handy for cheap Levis though....June is a great month for beer over here.
Level 5* jefito 5,598 Posted October 14, 2011 Level 5* Posted October 14, 2011 June is a great month for beer over here. Are there any bad months for beer?
Level 5* Metrodon 2,188 Posted October 14, 2011 Level 5* Posted October 14, 2011 June is a great month for beer over here. Are there any bad months for beer? No, that was kinda my point....

Level 5* jefito 5,598 Posted November 14, 2011 Level 5* Posted November 14, 2011 "Blighty" sounds like such a magical place. Maybe "Brainy" would be better (I was in London during the Mad Cow Disease ruckus a few years ago).
Level 5* Metrodon 2,188 Posted November 14, 2011 Level 5* Posted November 14, 2011 I was in Miami during the same period, they made us walk through disinfectant when we got off the plane and everyone was asked when we were last on a farm.....Still friendlier than those lovely TSA people are now.....
Level 5* jefito 5,598 Posted November 14, 2011 Level 5* Posted November 14, 2011 We had to do something similar on our way back in to the States. In general, I agree on the TSA stuff, but our last two trips (Italy and California),we had no unpleasantness on that front. I still don't trust them, though.
Level 5* Metrodon 2,188 Posted November 14, 2011 Level 5* Posted November 14, 2011 Trust me, you don't want to be a non-US citizen coming into the US 3 or 4 or 5 times a year.... They seem to take great delight in messing with me....
Level 5* jefito 5,598 Posted November 14, 2011 Level 5* Posted November 14, 2011 A gentle-spoken fellow such as yourself? I can't imagine it?
nova47 60 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 but our last two trips (Italy and California) I recall something about bikinis...please don't tell me that involved the TSA !!
Level 5* Metrodon 2,188 Posted November 15, 2011 Level 5* Posted November 15, 2011 A gentle-spoken fellow such as yourself? I can't imagine it? I walk up to the TSA guy as the very epitome of a British Gent, I walk away as the angry Scottish ***** that I am.
Level 5 jbenson2 2,149 Posted November 15, 2011 Level 5 Posted November 15, 2011 The city council in Oxford, England has plans to fit all taxis operating in the city with audio recording devices to record all conversations.http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/cctv-taxi-plan-a-staggering-invasion-of-privacy-6262221.htmlI wonder how long before the TSA decides to add them to airplanes.
