How do I customize default settings for HEADERS?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

How can I change the default settings of HEADERS

I'd like to change font size and font color for small, medium and large, and have these settings to automatically be applied to all notes (or all new notes)?

Looked at Evernote > Settings > Preferences > Notes

Can't find where to make these changes.

Thanks in advance.

You can - but only for a single note. When changing, all headers of the same level will change, in that note.

The setting will not carry over. There is no preset other than the one coded.

Select a header, modify it (1). Now choose "Header" of the same level, and move the mouse over the arrow behind it (2). Select "Use the format" (or however it is called) (3).

As already stated - there are no default settings.

Is this so hard to understand ?

Just to reinforce the point. If you make the note a template, copy or duplicate it the updated settings are reset. I think this is a bug but EN don't seem to want to correct it.

I think @Zenspiration, who is new to this forum and deserves a bit of polite leeway, was more or less expressing the wish for default settings.

I agree it would be handy, and is in my experience, possible in most other apps so people are likely to be surprised it´s not possible.  Mike P has a good observation too - it should remain set in a template.

Yes, new to this forum, this was my first question ever

- and my last. Thanks for giving me a bit of polite leeway.

Alrightie,

it is not possible to change default settings for headers for all subsequent new notes,

thanks for the info.

Hopefully this is helpful for the many more who wonder the same thing
