Level 5* gazumped 12,057 Posted February 24, 2023 Level 5* Share Posted February 24, 2023 Hi. Evernote Teams is Evernote's business product. I assume you are not actually a Teams user; so what is your device, OS and Evernote version? And have you tried signing in to Evernote.com to use the 'forgot password' option? 1 Link to comment

Evernote Expert agsteele 3,059 Posted February 26, 2023 Evernote Expert Share Posted February 26, 2023 Then you should try again. Maybe they didn't properly understand your problem. I confess that I'm unclear. You say you haven't accessed your accounts for years. But I'm not sure if that is what you mean. On the basis of your first post I would be suggesting that you start by asking Gmail/Google to reset your password. When you have access to Gmail then you can reset your Evernote password and receive the messages from Evernote. 1 Link to comment

agirzagrors 0
" This request to access this account will not be able to be granted. This matter is closed, and you will need to pursue an alternate path if you wish to gain access to the account. " I received such an answer how can I prove that I am the account holder my account has already been closed for 7 years don't they already know that I trusted evernote and saved my password my only crime is to save my password on evernote ? so if you forget your mail password if you forget your evernote password everything will be a lie ? is evernote a place to save notes or a place to lose them ? It sounds like you couldn't give them enough information to verify that it is actually your account. It's very unfortunate that you are unable to access your account, but I'm glad that Evernote requires good evidence in order for them to reset account access through Support like that. I'd hate for somebody to pretend to be me and for Evernote to grant them access to my account. Obviously if you forget your Evernote password and you also can't access your email account to then reset your Evernote account that could be a problem -- and not just with Evernote -- but with almost any software that you sign up for using your email address. Evernote is a great place to save notes, but I would not recommend saving passwords there. Password Managers like KeePass, 1Password, Bitwarden, and LastPass are great for saving and managing passwords. 1 Link to comment

Yes, I agree with what you said, but they asked me for the billing address registered in the account, but I told them that I entered a random address in the account for information security, but if they wrote only the initials of the address, I would complete it, so I would remember it, and I also shared my phone number registered in the account, but they still did not help, they said that they could not verify the account owner, and I told them that I could answer the documents or questions they asked how to verify that I was the account owner, but they did not help in this regard. I mean how else can I verify that I am the account holder I have already answered all possible questions if there is something I need to do the evernote support team should help me with this issue you know that services like gmail do not help with this issue my only solution is the evernote support team but unfortunately they could not solve this problem as you said evernote is a place to keep notes but I was keeping my passwords and notes there at that time I just loved evernote and I even bought a premium membership I am really sorry. . Evernote Expert agsteele 3,059 Posted February 27, 2023 Evernote Expert Share Posted February 27, 2023 I think you are out of luck. Support says you aren't able to satisfy the security checks. Sorry. Your only hope is too remember the password or open a new account with a new password. Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,777 Posted February 27, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted February 27, 2023 Quite obvious you didn't think about such a situation when you entered bogus contact information. But if you look at it from the other side, the support team has the obligation to keep people who don't own the account OUT as much as help the rightful owner IN. In general I agree with @agsteele - the only option left may be to ask (kindly) the support clerk to move your ticket to the second level support. Maybe you can work something out there. 1 Link to comment
