Jarod Weaver 3
Opened up EN on my Mac this morning to find that tasks won't open, went onto the app store, updated to the latest only to find that they still won't open, just a constant spinning wheel. No such problem on IOS. Link to comment
Ex Employees Austin G 527 Posted July 7, 2021 Ex Employees Share Posted July 7, 2021 thanks @Jarod Weaver. This may be caused by known issue that can occur when tasks are created in notes shared to your account. We're working on now. Please use these steps to resolve this issue in while we work on a fix: 1. Go to File > Sign Out from the menu bar 2. Select the "Remove my Evernote data from this device" option, then click Sign out 3. Restart your computer 4. Sign back in to Evernote Please let me know if you're still having trouble after following the steps above or if you did not create tasks in notes shared to you. 2 Link to comment

Level 5 PinkElephant 8,114 Posted August 16, 2021 Level 5 Share Posted August 16, 2021 For a real reset it is probably uninstall time: Make sure EN is fully synced, quit EN. Get the app AppCleaner, free on the internet. Install it, give it all necessary rights (Mac settings, security, tab privacy). Open AppCleaner. Draw the Evernote icon from the applications folder on top of the AppCleaner window. A second window opens, listing all program components. Some are checked, some are unchecked. Check them all, scroll way down, check more. Now hit uninstall. When done, restart the Mac. Download the dmg file from the EN website (don‘t use the AppStore version). Install, log in. Now let the initial sync run its course - with your 18.000 notes this may take a while. Wait this step to finish - you avoid corrupting data while the sync is going on. Link to comment

Level 5 PinkElephant 8,114 Posted August 17, 2021 Level 5 Share Posted August 17, 2021 Usually not, I did my last uninstall months ago. The first thing if it doesn’t feel quite right is to log out, quit the app, reopen and log in again. This works in most cases. Link to comment
macfixer 705
It's happening to me on iOS as well as macOS. I've contacted Evernote support and they recommended logging out & back in as well. Link to comment
