I totally agree. A homepage is so ... nineties... 😕.

I totally miss the native macOS experience of the previous (Legacy now) version (UI and UX; think about share menu, but also elastic bounce effects, ...). And this won't come back. Crazy, crazy, crazy :(.

A couple of approaches that work for me:

1.

--Create an EN address in your Contact list (with the address corresponding to your unique EN email) - e.g. call it "EVER"

--Select the item you want to Share

--Click the "Send In Mail" option in your Print Menu

--Address to "EVER".

--Send. This will create a PDF note in EN.

2.

The "Share" menu in apps such as the Finder or Photos also now has Email to "EVER" in the list of options. This approach worked for everything I have tried, even with password-protected Pages or Numbers files.

As noted elsewhere by one of our EN gurus (I don't recall who),  you can even save the material with a note title, notebook and tags by editing the Subject line of the email using the following format:

Subject:    YOURNOTETITLE@YOURNOTEBOOKNAME#YOURTAGNAME

Why have you removed these vital functions?

These were my main way of adding PDFs to my financial filing system

Lack of these makes V10 unusable

Why no Evernote Share Extension in Big Sur, standard system function that is missing

This is the basic stuff that should be brought back before they mess around with these other pointless stupid “killer new features” for goodness sake Evernote you haven’t even got the note list refresh working! + a hundred other essential features in Classic.

100% Agreed. All that work on the useless 'Home' page and basic features are missing

Can anyone recommend alternatives to Evernote that would do all of that? I don't like OneNote because it can't handle long notes (I do research).

Evernote is no longer a serious note--taking app. Works only for grocery lists.
