RobertTostevin 10
Fujitsu ScanSnap integration - whereby you could scan directly into a notebook was a major reason for me using Evernote I don't understand why its been removed and we've been told it won't be added ? Please can you re-consider adding this most useful & valuable of features back in ? Regards Rob 2 Link to comment

0 Level 5 PinkElephant 8,815 Posted November 30, 2020 Level 5 Share Posted November 30, 2020 If you want it NOW, go and install the legacy client. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote Probably a better scanner support will be added with future releases. What will not return is support for the special EN edition of the ix500. This scanner can be converted to a standard ix500 by a firmware update. It is then a normal ix500 after installing the new firmware, no way back. Link to comment
0 RVJ 1
So, I re-installed Legacy and Scansnap and multi-page PDF's work again via email and direct scan. Thanks for the heads-up!! I just wish I found this post before spending 4 hours testing Scansnap setting adjustments and researching fixes/work-arounds. I just don't get it. Why limit PDF's to a single page on mainstream productivity/organizational tool?? I've been a member for many years and generally speaking am a big EN supporter... What am I missing with the logic of this inconvenience?? 1 Link to comment
0 Evernote Expert agsteele 3,059 Posted December 1, 2020 Evernote Expert Share Posted December 1, 2020 Since 10.4.3 I have ScanSnap back working. I had to configure the ScanSnap Manager software which Fujitsu had to update first. The only issue (for some, not me) is that the scan always goes to the default notebook rather than the one which last had focus. I haven't tried the ScanSnap Home software which is, I think, Fujitsu's preferred approach but I'm impressed that Evernote andFujitsu have worked together to revive the depracated ScanSnap Manager. 1 Link to comment
0 Level 5 PinkElephant 8,815 Posted December 1, 2020 Level 5 Share Posted December 1, 2020 I don’t think that it is possible with ScanSnap Home to designate a notebook as scanning target. I think it goes to default as well. Link to comment
0 Aufty 0
I am severely depressed at finding the loss of ScanSnap being the fastest, easiest, most valuable way for inserting things into Evernote!! That is what I bought the ScanSnap for! That is what makes it all so efficient. What is really the plan for the future? And what is the best way to not lose that feature? Is it best to go back a version in Evernote? Is there any way we can convince you Evernote designers how VALUABLE using ScanSnap is?? Link to comment
