Kruger2147 46
Google just announced a new API for apps and services to plug into Google Assistant voice commands. I would love to be able to make voice notes and reminders with Assistant/Evernote again. https://blog.google/products/assistant/hey-google-now-works-your-android-apps/ 2 Link to comment

According to someone else in the Forums, it's already working. Try "take a note" or "take a note in Evernote" Link to comment

0 charlieedstrom 31
Did you change any settings? All it does for me is open Evernote. I'm on Samsun S7 / Android 8.0 Link to comment

I'm on Samsun S7 / Android 8.0 Nope, but it's a rollout from Google, so it may just take time. Update your Google app, maybe sign up for the beta. I'm running version 11.30.9.21.arm64 of the Google app. Link to comment
0 Level 5 Dave-in-Decatur 4,004 Posted October 12, 2020 Level 5 Share Posted October 12, 2020 Weirdly working. I got the message from Google Assistant "That's not supported by Evernote yet, so I opened the app instead." But what it actually did was open a new, blank note in my default notebook. So for once Google is smarter than it thinks it is. This happens when I say, "Take a note in Evernote," or just "Evernote note." It works the same way whether I start it with "OK Google" or by pressing the Google mic button, or long-pressing the Home button. Link to comment
0 charlieedstrom 31
Came across an article about the new shortcuts. Start assistant and say 'My Shortcuts' This open where these are set. 1 Link to comment
0 Level 5 Dave-in-Decatur 4,004 Posted October 15, 2020 Level 5 Share Posted October 15, 2020 Thanks! It showed 2 shortcuts for Evernote, "Voice note" and "New Evernote note". I activated both of them by tapping the blue + and they both work. The voice note one creates a new EN note ready to record voice into. Link to comment
